Estudo taxonômico do gênero Abuta (Menispermaceae) no Estado do Pará, Brasil

Abuta is a genus taxonomically complex due overlapping of morphological character variation. This study deals with the taxonomic treatment of the Abuta genus in the Para state. The study includes the analysis of botanical material originated from new collections and specimens from the herbaria Museum Goeldi (MG), Agronomic Institute of the North (IAN), National Institute for Research in the Amazon (INPA), Rio de Janeiro Botanic Garden (RB) and New York Botanical Garden (NY). Identification key, descriptions, geographical distribution, comments, and illustrations of species are provided. In Para the genus is represented by 11 species: A. barbata, A. brevifolia, A. candollei, A. grandifolia, A. grisebachii, A. imene, A. obovata, A. rufescens, A. sandwithiana, A. solimoesensis and A. velutina. Abuta obovata and A. velutina are new records for Para state. The leaf venation was the main character for separating species and the secondary vegetation formation the ecosystem with the largest number of species.

Mimosoideae (Leguminosae) do litoral paraense

This study deals with the taxonomic treatment of Mimosoideae on the coastal sandbanks of Para, since they are poorly known under this aspect. That study includes the analysis of botanical material from new collections and specimens of the MG and IAN herbariums, besides that found in specialized literature. Are given identification key, descriptions, and illustrations of the taxa, as well as data concerning geographical distribution, additional comments, flowering and fructification period, and habitat of the species. The fruit has the quality of great prominence in the separation of taxa. The results pointed out the presence of seven species, three varieties and one subspecies, distributed in six genera. Inga thibaudiana subsp. thibaudiana e Mimosa candollei are new records for the sand coast of Para. The genus Inga Mill. was the most representative with five species. Entada polystachya var. polystachya and specially Chloroleucon acacioides presented the widest distribution, and sandbank forest formation was the ecosystem which had the largest number of species.

Estudo taxonômico de Sapotaceae Juss. do litoral Paraense

This study deals with the taxonomic treatment of Sapotaceae Juss. on the coastal sandbanks of Para State. With the aid of a stereomicroscopy, there were made morphological descriptions of reproductive and vegetative parts. We used literature and collections identified by specialists to confirm the different characteristics of the taxa. We also constructed an identification key for species. We described five species and four subspecies, distributed into four genera: Manilkara bidentata subsp. bidentata, M. bidentata subsp. surinamensis, M. triflora, M. paraensis; Micropholisvenulosa, M. gnaphaloclados; Pouteria ramiflora, P. reticulata subsp. reticulata and Pradosia schomburgkiana subsp. schomburgkiana. The genus Manilkara Adans. was the most representative with two species and two subspecies. The sandbank forest formation was the ecosystem with the largest number of taxa.

O gênero Inga (Leguminosae-Mimosoideae) na Província Petrolífera de Urucu, Coari, Amazonas, Brasil

This study deals with the taxonomic treatment of Inga Mill. from Urucu Petroleum Province, Coari-AM. The genus is represented by nine taxa, distributed in five sections: Pseudinga Benth., composed by Inga nobilis Willd. subsp. nobilis and Inga stenoptera Benth.; Bourgonia Benth., by Inga laurina (Sw.) Willd., Inga alba (Sw.) Willd. and Inga pezizifera Benth.; Longiflorae (Benth.) T.D. Penn., by Inga rubiginosa (Rich.) DC. and Inga calantha Ducke; Inga and Leptinga Benth., respectively, by Inga edulis Mart. and Inga heterophylla Willd. Are given identification key, descriptions, and illustrations of the taxa, as well as data concerning geographical distribution, additional comments and habitat of the taxa.

Estudo taxonômico de Abuta (Menispermaceae) no estado do Acre, Brasil

A taxonomic treatment of Abuta in the Acre state is presented. Botanical specimens from national and foreign herbaria, as well as 17 new collections and the literature, were analyzed. The genus is represented by eight species: Abuta barbata, A. brevifolia, A. grandifolia, A. obovata, A. pahnii, A. rufescens, A. sandwithiana and A. solimoesensis. Identification keys, descriptions, and illustrations of the species are presented, as well as data concerning geographical distribution and additional comments of the species.

Passiflora (Passifloraceae) na Província Petrolífera de Urucu, Coari, Amazonas, Brasil

O genero esta representado na area por sete t axons: P . acuminata DC.; P . auriculata Kunth; P . coccinea Aubl.; P . glandulosa Cav.; P . laurifolia L.; P . mansoi (Mart.) Mast. e P . riparia Mart. ex Mast. Sao apresentadas chave de identificacao, descricoes e ilustracoes dos taxons, bem como dados adicionais sobre distribuicao geografica, comentarios e habitat dos mesmos. Estudo taxonômico de Sapindaceae do litoral paraense

Resumo Este trabalho consiste no tratamento taxonomico de Sapindaceae Jusss. nas restingas do litoral paraense. A metodologia desse estudo compreendeu a analise do material proveniente de coletas e exsicatas dos herbarios do Museu Goeldi (MG) e do Instituto Agronomico do Norte (IAN), alem de literatura especializada. Sao apresentadas chave de identificacao, descricoes, distribuicao geografica, comentarios e ilustracoes das especies. Foram encontradas oito especies, distribuidas em seis generos: Cupania diphylla , Matayba discolor , M. guianensis , Paullinia pinnata , Serjania paucidentata , Talisia cerasina , T. veraluciana e Urvillea laevis . As especies Urvillea laevis e Matayba discolor sao novas ocorrencias para a Amazonia brasileira. Serjania paucidentata e uma nova ocorrencia para o estado do Para. A formacao floresta de restinga foi ecossistema que apresentou o maior numero de taxons. An identification key, descriptions, geographic distribution, comments and illustrations of species are provided. We described eight species, distributed in six genera: Cupania diphylla, Matayba discolor, M. guianensis, Paullinia pinnata, Serjania paucidentata, Talisia cerasina, T. veraluciana and Urvillea laevis . The species Urvillea laevis and Matayba discolor are new reports for the Brazilian Amazon. Serjania paucidentata is a new record for the state of Para. The beach-ridge forest formation had the largest number of taxa.
