Tetrahedron Letters | 1981

Synthesis of vinylsilanes by palladium-catalyzed reaction of trimethylsilylallyl acetates with nucleophiles

Toshikazu Hirao; Jun Enda; Yoshiki Ohshiro; Toshio Agawa

Abstract Treatment of 1-trimethylsilylallyl and 3-trimethylsilylallyl acetates with nucleophiles (active methylene compounds and enamines) in the presence of a catalytic amount of Pd(PPh3)4 affords vinylsilane derivatives selectively.

Tetrahedron Letters | 1981

A novel carbon-carbon bond formation by the Lewis acid catalyzed reaction of β-styrylsilane with acetal

Toshikazu Hirao; Shuichiro Kohno; Jun Enda; Yoshiki Ohshiro; Toshio Agawa

Abstract Treatment of (E)- and (Z)-β-styryltrimethylsilanes with benzaldehyde diethyl acetal in the presence of Lewis acid affords selectively 1,3,5-tri-phenyl-(E,E)- and (E,Z)-1,4-pentadienes, respectively.

Journal of The Chemical Society, Chemical Communications | 1984

A Lewis acid mediated rearrangement of 1-(trimethylsilyl)prop-2-ynyl trimethylsilyl ethers to 2-trimethylsilyl enones

Jun Enda; Isao Kuwajima

Treatment of 1-(trimethylsilyl)prop-2-ynyl trimethylsily ethers methylaluminium dichloride leads to the formation of the 3-metallated 2-(trimethylsilyl)enones, which, on quenching with water, afford the corresponding 2-(trimethylsilyl)enones in good yields.

Journal of The Chemical Society, Chemical Communications | 1979

A C-phosphono-keten imine as a novel annelation reagent

Jiro Motoyoshiya; Jun Enda; Yoshiki Ohshiro; Toshio Agawa

N-Ethyl(diethylphosphono)methylketen imine, a new type of keten imine, was easily prepared in high yield, and reacted with the sodium salts of salicylaldehyde and 2-formylpyrrole to afford the benzopyran and pyrrolizine derivatives, respectively.

Journal of the American Chemical Society | 1985

General method for generation of 3-siloxyallylmetallic species and their synthetic application

Jun Enda; Isao Kuwajima

Journal of Organic Chemistry | 1980

c-Phosphonoketenimines, characterization and synthetic application to heterocycles

Jiro Motoyoshiya; Akinori Teranishi; Reiko Mikoshiba; Iwao Yamamoto; Haruo Gotoh; Jun Enda; Yoshiki Ohshiro; Toshio Agawa

Chemistry Letters | 1981

Palladium-promoted reaction of allyl trimethylsilyl ethers with aryl iodides.

Toshikazu Hirao; Jun Enda; Yoshiki Ohshiro; Toshio Agawa

ChemInform | 1982

A NOVEL CARBON-CARBON BOND FORMATION BY THE LEWIS ACID CATALYZED REACTION OF β-STYRYLSILANE WITH ACETAL

Toshikazu Hirao; S. Kohno; Jun Enda; Yoshiki Ohshiro; Toshio Agawa

ChemInform | 1981

PALLADIUM-PROMOTED REACTION OF ALLYL TRIMETHYLSILYL ETHERS WITH ARYL IODIDES

Toshikazu Hirao; Jun Enda; Yoshiki Ohshiro; Toshio Agawa
