A Study of Healthcare System for Patient Location Data Based on LBS

Jinsoo Ahn; Jungil Heo; Suyoung Lim; Jungho Seo; Wooshik Kim

As development of wireless communication technology has promoted mobility, location based service (LBS) became embossed. The LBS is a service to recognize and utilize a location of a person or a thing through a device that ensures mobility based on wireless communication network. This paper thus researches on healthcare method to respond to emergency rapidly by recognizing a patients location with the LBS. The LBS also provides location information of a user as well as remote management of organism data such as ECG data or pulse, which is transferred to a hospital or an emergency room.

A Study on the Implementation of a Portable u-Healthcare System using SNMP and AODV

Jungho Seo; Jungil Heo; Suyoung Lim; Jinsoo Ahn; Wooshik Kim

Up to now, Healthcare System has been achieved throughout wired networks. On account of that, both patients and medical teams have needed to put up with all the inconveniences related to time and space. However, the age of the ubiquitous computing has come, and the system that can guarantee portability and mobility for patients and medical teams is required. In this paper, based on PDA and Wireless Sensor Network, Hardware Platform is designed in order to provide patients and medical teams with portability and mobility. Also, Remote Monitoring System is designed by using Wireless LAN Network.

Currently the standardization of the sensor network is under progress from the group of the IEEE, the IETF, or the Zigbee Alliance. One trend is constructing the sensor network in base of ad-hoc network and WPAN. The IEEE 802.15.4 and the IEEE 1451.5 are important standard in this area. The goal of this paper is to develop and implement an efficient sensor network composed of low power sensor modules, especially for biomedical purposes. To do this, we integrate several standards in this area, i.e., IEEE 1451.5, AODV, and IEEE 802.15.x.

Ad-hoc routing Protocol-based Ubiquitous Network System In the Hospital Environment

Jungil Heo; Wooshik Kim

AODV is one of the various routing protocol on ad-hoc networks. This paper analyzes information about the user who moves from among the multi techniques which composes the ubiquitous environment, and proposes about the network configuration and management to execute ubiquitous system. In this paper, we propose efficient method that has AODV protocol advantage and the property of power efficiency and reliable data transmission in the hospital or home environment. Our proposed method uses the mobile nodes which have the sensor and the role and an operational process of each system configuration is described in this paper.
