Zur Abgrenzung der PbFCl- und Cu2Sb-Strukturfamilien: Neubestimmung und Verfeinerung der Kristallstrukturen von CuMgSb, Cu2Sb und CuMgAs†

Die Kristallstrukturen von CuMgSb, Cu2Sb und CuMgAs werden mit Einkristalldaten neu bestimmt und verfeinert und der strukturelle Zusammenhang zwischen CuMgSb (kubisch), Cu2Sb (tetragonal) und CuMgAs (orthorhombisch) im Detail diskutiert. CuMgAs kristallisiert, nicht wie bisher angenommen im Cu2Sb-Typ, sondern in einem neuen Strukturtyp oP24 (Pnma; Z = 8): a = 1346.0(1) pm, b = 395.40(3) pm, c = 739.58(6) pm. Die Struktur ist eng verwandt mit Cu2Sb und kann nach dem Prinzip des ′Chemical Twinning′ von ihr abgeleitet werden. Die neubestimmten Parameter von Cu2Sb werden in ein Strukturfelddiagramm zusammen mit weiteren Vertretern des PbFCl-Typs aufgenommen. Das Strukturfeld lasst sich in drei Bereiche mit den jeweiligen Prototypen PbFCl, Cu2Sb und Fe2As untergliedern. Die Zuordnung ist auf die jeweils vorherrschende Bindungsart zuruckzufuhren.

Kristallstruktur und schwingungsspektroskopische Daten von Silbercyanamid / Crystal Structure and Spectroscopic Data of Silver Cyanamide

Ag2CN2 precipitates on mixing aqueous solutions of H2CN2 and silver nitrate as a yellow crystalline solid. The title compound was characterised by single crystal X-ray diffraction and IR-spectroscopy (monoclinic, P21/c (No. 14), a = 7.315(1), b = 6.010(1), c = 6.684(1) Å; β = 102.29( 1)°; Z = 4). The anion is slightly bent (177.1 (5)°) and exhibits two significantly different bond lengths (C-N(l): 1.194(6), C-N(2): 1.266(5) Å).
