Nowadays, teaching and learning process using computers becomes inseparable process, especially on information technology department. The teaching process often occurs on the laboratory, which is every student will do the learning process in front of a computer. A computer can help the learning process but also can disturb the learning process because student can be distracted to do something else. Therefore, this research will develop server and client applications to help control the process of learning and teaching that give on a computer laboratory by broadcast everything that show on computer server monitor to each client. The server can also control the keyboard, mouse, monitor and terminate or block an application that run on computer client. This application will be build using Microsoft Visual C#. Testing results showed that the number of clients does not affect the bandwidth consumption and CPU usage at broadcast. The smooth multicast depends on several factors such as type of image compression and resolution sizes. Selection resolution size and type appropriate image compression is recommended that more real-time multicast.

Number of users of who use mobile devices and other handheld devices is rapidly increased (such as smartphones and tablet computers). This phenomena has changed the lifestyle of many people, especially in the ease of access to information. For example, access to any business information, political information, tourism information, as well as educational information. Education has also entered a new era, where books and other teaching materials, are not only presented using paper media but also in electronic form. Student can easily access that electronic information using computer/laptop or smartphone/tablet PC. So now, learning can be delivered in a more interesting and interactive media and model. It becomes new challenges for education, especially in teaching nation history, where education in paper material is no longer quite interesting. Therefore, new teaching media is required, that more interesting and interactive to the student. At this time, there are not many applications on mobile devices that explore education especially on heroic history of Indonesia. On the other hand, the education of heroic history become more necessary today, especially for young people. To answer this challenge, in this research we like to build an application software based on android mobile devices that contain education the history of the heroic battles 10 November 1945 in Surabaya. The application will provide the information of battle history, and also games and multimedia interactive such as sound, video streaming that built on android based mobile device. With this educational applications we expected that everyone especially young people can learning the knowledge about the history of the heroic battle 10 November 1945 Surabaya in the mobile device based on Android in interactive educational applications that provide a thorough understanding and fascinating history of the events surrounding the battle, and also exploring the historic sites in Surabaya and found fascinating city of Surabaya.

Audience Response Systems are widely used in various events as a media to gather information, to collect data, and to know the opinions of the general public towards particular issues, topics, news. Audience Response System can also be used to find out the client or customer satisfaction to the quality of products or services. Unfortunately most of the audience response systems that exist today are in the form of a physical (or remote) device which is severely limited in use. Along with the development of technology, almost all people have a smartphone to support their daily activities. The physical remote device called a clicker can be replaced with an application or program that can be installed on smartphones, while the polls are created through the website. In this research, the Audience response system was built using Node.js, PhoneGap platform, and the WebSocket Socket.IO as Javascript library to support bi-directional data communications. Based on testing result, this application can run properly all the functionalities that have been mentioned such as login to the system, create a poll, join a poll, and give a vote. The realiability of the system is 93%..

Japanese language writing system is divided into 2 forms, namely Hiragana and Katakana. Both are characters that each have their own usefulness as a basic word. Due to the basic character, the Japanese language is very similar to other languages in general that has the alphabet as a base word. The most effective way for a persons ability to memorize is to use a media of learning interesting and interactive. Among the form of technology-based learning media are quite friendly with the people at home and outside the home, for example, smartphones are already widely used by all levels of society, both in cities and villages. Therefore, interactive learning applications based on Android is most needed.

Websites today have static and dynamic contents that concern many people about the performance. People will leave or not returning the website because of loading time that is taking too long. One way to speed up a website access is by utilising web applications using Varnish cache. Varnish will store static content from a website in the memory. Static data is data that changes infrequently or rarely updated. A front end for web administrators was built for Varnish application so that the configuration can be done easily. The configuration that will be simplified through the front end of this Varnish application is detecting SQL injection and Cross Site Scripting (XSS), block files and folders, HTTP header manipulation, detects the original file whether it is deleted or blocked and error handling configuration. The front end application is implemented on Linux platform. Varnish application was tested using ApacheBench where the number of requests from the client and the response time become the main parameters of the test.
