The study of cylinder seals is important not only because of its iconography but also because of inscriptions. This article analyzes some texts of a rich merchant from Larsa in the Old Babylonian period. The documents are representative of the type diversity of the cuneiform texts from this period, of the influence of private sector in the Old Babylonian economy and of the importance to assure the authenticity of a document by the systematic printing of the cylinder seals in the tablets and envelopes.

This article takes discussions about spacial representations of the young resident from Guajuviras neighborhood in Canoas city, RS, and therefore those discussions has become important nowadays, above all in our cities, it doesn’t happen just in the academic study, but by the key role in the formulation of public policies, since ever more governments and social movements share great responsibility in search of join actions that can result in potential improvements. They include surrounding communities reflections, but they are understood as the center and they have the main actors as subjects, and they are no more mere and simple adjuncts of economic and social processes of the city.

The sources about music in ancient Mesopotamia are numerous, there are hundreds of cuneiform tablets in Sumerian and Akkadian language, and also iconic representations of material culture have been rescued by archeology. The texts of varied nature show myths, staves and musical theories, displaying speci?c vocabulary about the act of musical performance, on musicians and musical instruments. In these documents, the rich iconography of war among the Assyrians is also revealing of musical practice, including in military contexts.
