Sintering in CaHPO4 on injection molding of hydroxylapatite utilizing solid phase reaction method was studied. Rod like test pieces were produced by the injection molding with phosphoric acid(54.5wt%), calcium carbonate(26.8wt%) and the several organic binders(18.7wt%).After the binder extraction process, the test pieces were sintered under the following conditions :(A)in an atmospher of air ;(B)in the CaHPO4. The sintered test piece (A) consists of hydroxylapatite, whereas the top surface of sintered test piece (B) consists of β-TCP. From the above results, the porosity of the sintered test piece (B) was lower than that of the sintered test piece (A), and the compressive strength of the sintered test piece (B) was higher than that of the sintered test piece (A).
