Three cases of malakoplakia of prostate

Three cases that were confirmed as malakoplakia of the prostate by means of prostatic biopsy are reported here. All of the patients had a previous history of urinary tract infection with Escherichia coli. These are cases that had not been found in the literature in Japan, and they are deemed the eighth, ninth, and tenth cases of prostatic malakoplakia reported in the world literature.

Fibrous histiocytoma of penis

A case of penile fibrous histiocytoma in an eight-year-old boy is reported. This case was treated surgically. Benign fibrous histiocytoma of the penis is rarely reported in the literature.

High recurrence rates have been reported in idiopathic calcium stone disease1. Repeat surgery is often very difficult in previously operated patients, particularly in those who have undergone nephrolithotomy. We continue to make every effort to detect causes of the stone disease for prevention of recurrence in surgically treated patients.
