Introduction : In the mouth there are several microorganisms, including bacteria and fungi, which, under favorable conditions, can cause oral health problems. In combating these diseases there are several antibiotics and antifungals, synthetic drugs and also natural. Objective: identifying the action of propolis on microorganisms in the oral cavity. Method: we opted for the integrative literature review, using the descriptors: oral cavity, propolis, anti-inflammatory activity, antimicrobial activity, endodontics, antimicrobial, propolis, saliva, metabolism, microbiology, antimicrobial activity and mouth; the consulted databases were PubMed, LILACS and SciELO, published between 1999 and 2014. The results were obtained through the selection of 09 articles, through close reading, critical and reflective texts, and then the organization of summary frames of data. Results: evidence was gathered and synthesized, pointing to the antibacterial action ( Gram-positive and Gram-negative ) and antifungal ( C. albicans and C. tropicallis ) of propolis. The methodological designs of the studies analyzed were in majority, of weak evidence, for evidence-based practice. Therefore, the findings may be questioned. Conclusion: it needs that are carried out research studies in a systematic review and randomized clinical studies with humans, because they are considered major force evidence and are defined therapeutic parameters and minimum chemical composition, the different types of propolis, so having the appropriate/desired therapeutic properties.

Objetive: The study had the aim to describe the exact moment of interrupting CPR maneuvers in patients in CRP situations. Method: This is an exploratory and descriptive research, with quantitative character and approach. It was performed with 67 (seventy-seven) nurses from a Regional Hospital, who were informed about the objectives of the same. There were included those who act in direct patient care; of effective position and contracted in the service; And with more than one (1) year of training. The instrument used for data collection was a questionnaire, previously elaborated, containing objective, subjective and non-inductive questions, which allowed the informant to answer the data pertinent to the study. It was found that the majority of the interviewees were women, aged between 31 and 35 years, specialists, with more than 4 years of training and 3 years of service, medical / surgical clinic attendees, and without reports of training. Results: They demonstrated they know the exact timing of CPR maneuvers but reported that they would not apply CPR in situations in which the patient had cadaveric stiffness, decomposition, crushing of the skull and thorax, or a CPA report of more than 20 minutes. Faced with conditions in which the team could decide not to perform CPR, they reported not applying CPR in the vegetative state, in terminal or chronic patients. Conclusion: Therefore, they conclude that the said moment of interrupting the protocol is determined in a personal and ethical way, that is, by the individuality of each situation. Keywords: Nurses. Introduction: Women experience aging in a peculiar way, as the climacteric is inherent in this phase of the female life cycle. This is a period characterised by functional, morphological and hormonal changes that affect the quality of life of women, as well as causing changes in the occurrence/prevalence of chronic diseases. Objectives: To identify the most prevalent diseases in perimenopausal women in the city of Cajazeiras-Paraiba, Brazil, and the interference of lifestyle in the occurrence and progression of diseases such as systemic arterial hypertension (SAH) and diabetes in women investigated. Method: This is a cross-sectional survey, in which data collection was carried out in an interview guided by structured script. The data collected were used in SPSS to statistically correlate the presence of at least one disease, systemic arterial hypertension (SAH) and diabetes versus meals/day, BMI, physical inactivity, smoking and alcohol consumption. Results: The results showed statistical dependence between overweight/obesity with at least one disease (p <0.001), SH (p <0.001) and diabetes (p = 0.016), in addition to alcohol abuse with at least one disease (p = 0.004) and hypertension (p = 0.005). Conclusion: The occurrence and progression of chronic diseases may be influenced by unhealthy lifestyle habits adopted by women. Thus, policies designed to promote the adoption of better living habits such as regular physical exercise and the abandonment of the use of harmful substances to the body, can interfere positively in the prevention/progression of the most prevalent chronic disease in climacteric.
