Three species are currently assigned to the genus Savoryella. All are re-examined and additional features recorded. Two new species S. appendiculata Hyde et Jones and S. longispora Jones et Hyde are described, from logs and driftwood cellected from Malaysia and Brunei. The genus is assigned to the Sordariales

Abstract n Three collections of coelomycetes producing brown spores have been subjected to morphological and molecular data analyses. Two of them have phragmosporous conidia and are morphologically similar to Camarosporium hederae which has the distinct morphology of Camarosporium sensu stricto. The other collection with muriform conidia is morphologically similar to Camarosporium sensu stricto but has paraphyses. Based on morphology and molecular data analyses of combined LSU and SSU rDNA sequences, two new genera are introduced viz. Phragmocamarosporium (in Lentitheciaceae) and Suttonomyces (in Massarinaceae).

Abstract n Five new dematiaceous hyphomycetes isolated from decaying wood submerged in freshwater in northern Thailand are described. Phylogenetic analyses of combined LSU, SSU and RPB2 sequence data place these hitherto unidentified taxa close to Ascotaiwania and Bactrodesmiastrum. A robust clade containing a new combination Pseudoascotaiwania persoonii, Bactrodesmiastrum species, Plagiascoma frondosum and three new species, are introduced in the new order Fuscosporellales (Hypocreomycetidae, Sordariomycetes). A sister relationship for Fuscosporellales with Conioscyphales, Pleurotheciales and Savoryellales is strongly supported by sequence data. Taxonomic novelties introduced in Fuscosporellales are four monotypic genera, viz. Fuscosporella, Mucispora, Parafuscosporella and Pseudoascotaiwania. A new taxon in its asexual morph is proposed in Ascotaiwania based on molecular data and cultural characters.

Marine fungi colonizing driftwood collected in sand dunes at two sites are listed and compared with a survey undertaken 5 years ago. Marine ascomycetes were recovered in large numbers, the most common species being Nereiospora comata, Carbosphaerella leptosphaerioides, Remispora pilleata, Groenhiella bivestia and Lulworthia lignoarenaria . Results are compared with lignicolous/arenicolous fungi recorded from Japan.

Abstract A survey of freshwater fungi on submerged wood in China and Thailand resulted in the collection of three species in Dictyocheirospora and four species in Dictyosporium including two new species in the latter genus. Morphological characters and phylogenetic analyses based on ITS, LSU and TEF1α sequence data support their placement in Dictyocheirospora and Dictyosporium (Dictyosporiaceae). An updated backbone tree is provided for the family Dictyosporiaceae. Descriptions and illustrations of the new taxa and re-collections are provided. Four new combinations are proposed for Dictyocheirospora.
