The paper presents results of research concerning the basis of utilization of PMSMs in industrial robots. A mathematical model of PMSM is described. Identification of PMSMs parameters is performed as well as an analysis of simulation and experimental investigation results of transients and steady states of electrical and mechanical quantities is presented.

The article presents a simple way of determining induced voltages in the damping bars of salient pole 5.5 kVA salient pole synchronous generator under no load conditions. Field-circuital model created by coupling FEMM and Matlab environments was used for voltage calculation purposes. The simulation results were verified experimentally in the measurement stand utilizing a purpose built special rotor geometry with additional slip rings connected to individual damping bars.

This paper presents a system for monitoring and control of unoccupied railway track of automatic railway crossing signaling devices. The most important task of this system is to ensure the safety of rail and road traffic. This solution belongs to the class of critical systems, and is particularly important not only for safety reasons to prevent the collision of railway vehicles and road wheeled, but also entails various economic aspects. The first part of the article raises issues related to the safety of rail transport process. It then discusses the possibilities of using rail circuit to determine unoccupied section of the approach and the distance of the rail vehicle from the railroad crossing. Structure and functionality of automatic railway crossing signaling devices on a level crossing were defined. The synthesis of safe measurement control digital system is based on a dynamic model using Petri net. Factors of reliability and discusses the advantages of the proposed system solutions were estimated.

The paper presents simulation results of a push–pull converter allowing energy recovery back to two Sealed Lead-Acid 7 Ah, 12 V serially connected batteries. The converter is powered by three phases of induced voltage from a BLDC motor mounted in the front wheel hub of an electric bike. In a steady state, computed current and voltage waveforms were verified experimentally in the measurement stand on the basis of registered waveforms.

This paper presents a simple method for determining the stator and field winding mutual inductances. The mutual inductances are determined on the basis of experimental measurement of the induced stator phase voltages for a salient pole synchronous generator with 10 damping bars and rotor skew. A mathematical model of a salient pole synchronous generator with 10 damping bars and rotor skew in the natural reference frame is presented. During the simulation, current waveforms calculated in damping bars in a no-load steady state are presented.

The paper presents a simply method for assessing the effectiveness of fast automatic disconnection of supply (electric shock protection) based on measurement of Joules integral and thermal equivalent current in 230/400 V electrical installations fed from a synchronous generator sets. Experimental studies are carried out under short-circuit conditions using Electronic Phase Detector and Joule Integral Measurement device utilizing 5.5 kVA salient pole synchronous generator protected by gF and gG class fuses.
