Educational system under development of technique and emergence of new technologies faces a problem of specialists’ competence, who should design, produce, maintain new technique and use advanced technologies. The analysis of applied forms of education shows that blended learning has advantages over traditional learning and e-learning. For its successful implementation the unified informational educational platform that allows developing educational content, managing the learning process and giving the opportunity of virtual communication is required. The introduction of such advanced educational technologies like a virtual and augmented reality, simulation and gamification will enhance quality of specialists’ training. The use of real-world experience of leading enterprises of an automobile industry, as well as the students evaluation system based on the objective parameters are the main advantages of a proposed concept. At this stage, the development of the module of monitoring the learning process is proceeding.

Smart Mobility is one of the main directions of transportation systems development in Smart Cities. In this case along with intellectualization of management the issue of transition to “green”, safe and sustainable modes of transport, such as bicycle, should be solved. Democracy and availability, cheapness and environmental friendliness, promotion of healthy lifestyle are the reasons for the growing popularity of this mode of transport all over the world. This paper proposes one of the possible ways of bicycle transport development in smart city, that allows expanding the number of users by reducing physical requirements for cyclist. The proposed development represents a concept of the Smart Bike that monitors condition of the cyclist and environment and turns on electric motor in critical situations. This reduces physical load of cyclist, as well as the battery consumption, that positively affects the ecology of Smart Cities.

The paper is devoted to special features of the large and heavy goods (oversized and overweight loads) transportation by road transport. To organize a delivery of large and heavy goods, two main problems have to be solved: selection of the optimal road vehicle as well as selection of the best route. Since there are a lot of factors have to be considered, it is necessary to use information and communication technologies. The concept of Decision Support System (DSS) together its modules’ interaction is presented. Software complexes, which are based on the developed algorithm to distribute the vehicle fleet units to the suitable orders, and the set of models, which allow predicting consequences of the proposed solutions, are the intelligent heart of our DSS.

Digitalization of all scopes of activities along with the rapid accumulation of information, development of technologies and the processes’ intellectualization pose global challenges in both the economy and education. Information technologies become an integral part of the human living space, causing the emergence of a new digital (networking) generation of people, for whom a mobile phone, a computer, and the Internet are the natural elements of their life. A universal approach to Smart Education is needed. Business requires engineers who can design, create and operate complex technical systems. At the same time, principles of sustainable development and minimization of negative environmental impacts must be observed. Educational system should ensure the quality of training engineers, who are needed by business and society. To realize this goal, there are opportunities associated with the use of such educational technologies as modeling, simulators, augmented and virtual reality. Ways to improve educational process with use of simulators and a virtual reality, as well as examples of using such training technologies to increase students’ motivation when training them for the automotive company are presented in the article.

Complex production systems, such as the trucks manufacturing, require the intellectualization of processes. Introduction of smart technologies (Industry 4.0) in automotive industry requires new approaches to the managerial decisions making, thus the modelling of a control system becomes the most important part of the manufacturing optimization. In this paper, we present an assembly line simulation model with dynamically changing parameters that allows reacting quickly to the production systems changes. A software module has been developed to automatically perform such functions, as monitoring the operations (statuses) on positions and developing recommendations to organize logistical flows. The algorithm to determine the state of the assembly lines position is presented. Introduction of such approach in automotive industry will allow not only optimizing processes and improving product quality, but also establishing favorable conditions for the subsequent intellectualization of the automotive service.

Currently, intellectualization processes cover all areas of activity, which is accompanied by an increase in the requirements for the competence of engineers. At the same time, interest of young people in obtaining an engineering education has decreased in many countries. The authors have studied the causes of this phenomenon. The article is devoted to analysis of relation between the quality of engineering education and the level of students motivation. Ways to increase motivation through the application of innovative technologies and creation the learning outcomes monitoring system are considered.

The article deals with actual problems pedestrians and cyclists safety in the cities. It is shown that, despite the positive experience of interventions implementation, road traffic deaths and injuries are still high. One of the possible ways to ensure road safety for the most vulnerable road users is to develop the method to support the safest route selection. The proposed method will increase the quality of management and effectiveness of the adopted solutions to improve traffic safety.

The quality of automobiles efficiency maintaining is largely determined by the effectiveness of providing system of dealer and service centers with spare parts. It is necessary to analyze the characteristics of suppliers and the distribution of flow requests for spare parts, taking into account reliability factor of the supplier by the control center of the firm service system. The authors proposed a methodology for multi-criteria evaluation of the spare parts suppliers, which is determined not only by the reliability of compliance with the terms of supply and the organization of logistics processes, as well as the reliability and quality of the spare parts themselves. Also, in order to assess the probability of fulfillment of obligations by the new supplier, a methodology for forecasting such indicators characterizing the supplier’s reliability, as the delivery time, the spare part quality and the level of shortages, is described with usage of logistic regression.

Since the main type of regular trips of children and teenagers are the trips to school, ensuring school routes’ safety is the main direction of the children’s safety improving. While constructing the routes to school it is necessary to choose the safest possible one. The categorization of the route can be performed according to the presence of different factors, complicating traffic conditions. Selection of the best route relates to multicriteria optimization problems. To solve this problem it is necessary to use simulation methods as well as modern information technologies. The algorithm of the rational route selection as well as the algorithm of its safety assessment is offered in the article. Mathematical model of the school routes’ planning and the conceptual scheme of the Schoolchildren’s Transportation Management System are also presented in the article. Proposed system is aimed at reducing the risks of dangerous situations while pupils travelling to school.
