Irina Makarova; Rifat Khabibullin; Eduard Belyaev; Vadim Mavrin

To provide transition to “green economy,” it is necessary to increase the safety and reliability of transport system using Intelligent Transportation Systems. The modern intelligent transportation systems implementation requires communications, command, and control designed originally in vehicles and infrastructure. This paper makes the decision by perfecting vehicle and infrastructure of the transport system. A different way is to use rational management decisions based on the received real-time information. The paper also offers methods to improve the efficiency of the urban transport system.

System Approach to the Mass Production Improvement

Irina Makarova; Vadim Mavrin; Ksenia Shubenkova

The ways of increasing the efficiency of production processes in automotive industry are presented in the article. These ways can be realized by modern optimization methods and tools. Analysis of activity of enterprises implementing strategies of production development, shows that only comprehensive solutions can lead to real improvements. The results of simulation experiments revealed the best combination of input factors values that helped to improve each of factors, compared to existing solutions.

Irina Makarova; Ksenia Shubenkova; Vadim Mavrin; Aleksey Boyko; Andrei Katunin

Smart Mobility is one of the main directions of transportation systems development in Smart Cities. In this case along with intellectualization of management the issue of transition to “green”, safe and sustainable modes of transport, such as bicycle, should be solved. Democracy and availability, cheapness and environmental friendliness, promotion of healthy lifestyle are the reasons for the growing popularity of this mode of transport all over the world. This paper proposes one of the possible ways of bicycle transport development in smart city, that allows expanding the number of users by reducing physical requirements for cyclist. The proposed development represents a concept of the Smart Bike that monitors condition of the cyclist and environment and turns on electric motor in critical situations. This reduces physical load of cyclist, as well as the battery consumption, that positively affects the ecology of Smart Cities.

Globalization places increasing requirements to quality and competitiveness of products in the automotive industry. This is forcing manufacturers to look for reserves to increase the safety and efficiency of production processes. In the past two decades many companies have used such advanced methods as simulation to identify the causes of inefficiency of technological processes, among them, analyzing of the process ergonomic parameters. Special software packages are based on applying the accurate three-dimensional models of the person for build virtual production. This approach is more economical than experimenting in real systems and significantly accelerates the analysis of ergonomic parameters because it can be done in parallel with technological preparation of a production but not after it has started. The paper demonstrates the capability of simulation models in optimizing and boosting the efficiency of a technological process, diminishing the work load on the staff in assembly area and risk of performance loops caused by job-related accidents and musculoskeletal disorders.

The System of the School Routes’ Development and Their Safety Assessment

Irina Makarova; Ksenia Shubenkova; Vadim Mavrin; Aleksey Boyko

Since the main type of regular trips of children and teenagers are the trips to school, ensuring school routes’ safety is the main direction of the children’s safety improving. While constructing the routes to school it is necessary to choose the safest possible one. The categorization of the route can be performed according to the presence of different factors, complicating traffic conditions. Selection of the best route relates to multicriteria optimization problems. To solve this problem it is necessary to use simulation methods as well as modern information technologies. The algorithm of the rational route selection as well as the algorithm of its safety assessment is offered in the article. Mathematical model of the school routes’ planning and the conceptual scheme of the Schoolchildren’s Transportation Management System are also presented in the article. Proposed system is aimed at reducing the risks of dangerous situations while pupils travelling to school.

Irina Makarova; Ksenia Shubenkova; Eduard Mukhametdinov; Vadim Mavrin; Dago Antov; Anton Pashkevich

The paper is devoted to solving the problem of complex organizational and technical systems’ (COTS) safety improvement with the use of methods of situational management. The possibility to manage COTS with the use of decision support system, the intelligent core of which contains the object model of the precedent describing unwanted processes in the COTS, is considered. The object-oriented hierarchy model of the vehicle as a complex dynamical system is developed. To improve reliability and safety of the COTS the database of precedents is established. Precedents in this database are presented according to the developed model by which the analogues search procedure is performed and the best managerial decision is chosen.

Improvement Opportunities in Commodity Trucks Delivery in Globalized Markets

Irina Makarova; Rifat Khabibullin; Eduard Belyaev; Vadim Mavrin

Market globalization has posed the problem of finding economical routes of product delivery one of which is via a system of intermodal motor traction. Currently, the automotive manufacturing plant KAMAZ supplies its products and accompanying servicing to countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America, and intends to extend the market. This study deals with peculiarities of the organization of spare parts delivery to the dealer-service network abroad. Risks of water haul are considered; methods for improving of transportation planning by developing a decision support system are proposed.

Managing an Urban Transport System in Enhancing the Area Stability

Irina Makarova; Rifat Khabibullin; Eduard Belyaev; Vadim Mavrin

The urbanized mankind is faced with vulnerability of urban systems, migration and concentration of population, low quality of habitat, loss of fertile land, and necessity of waste disposal. In large cities, a significant contribution to atmospheric pollution with sulphur dioxide, nitrogen and carbon oxides, and industrial dust comes from the motor transport. The motor traffic growth inevitably affects the human health by causing road and transport traumatism, respiratory diseases and diseases caused by physical inactivity. The proposed solution is based on optimization of a city transport system parameters. This was achieved by via simulation modelling taking into account a large number of parameters, both within and outside the system, many of the latter being stochastic. The recommendations include rearranging of the public transport routes and changing over to vehicles running on gas motor fuel.
