In the early stage, service system had been implemented with a functionality point of view on designing or implementing system. Because service had been designed to bring functionality into focus, critical issue that it must modify all structure of service system when service was adding or modifying had occurred sometimes. New technology, SOA that designs system with a service-oriented point of view has introducing to solve problem. That is, when it designs business service system, it designs with a business process or service point of view and reuse the legacy application program or resources. Therefore, this paper proposes the SOA-based business collaboration system for e-Business or u-Business and the needed component. Also, it explains how to compose the component about one service among various business services. To do this, it firstly analyzes modules operated at the legacy e-business service systems and redefines those functions with service point of view. And it recomposes the defined process or service with SOA concept. It designs components with CBD method in order to reuse legacy application resources. Hereby, resource reusability is maximizing. As service engine is composed of CBD-based component, it is easy to migrate new service to the proposed system. And legacy systems modification will be minimized because of reusing the legacy modules and providing interface adaptor.

E-business means an electronic business transaction among business entities using computer system, network and other resources. Interoperability is one of important characteristics at e-business, because it needs to cover heterogeneousness between different platforms or commerce environments. Business process (BP) which is one of e-business category, is a modeling technology to business transactions that are able to integrate transaction processing. It makes a scenario after modeling to business process. With the scenario, it may accomplish B2B transaction automatically. So, it is able to cope with a change as reusability is expanding from document-level to scenario-level. Also, it is possible to support business collaboration between trading partners (companies). To do modeling, in this paper, we use UN/CEFACT (United Nations Center for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business) UMM (UN/CEFACT modeling methodology) as methodology and work with 4 view of open-EDI (electronic data interchange) BOV (business operational view). An aim of BP modeling is to make transaction scenarios through BP modeling and to execute automatically B2B transaction via the scenarios. In the early commerce stage, the standardization of business document was important matter more than anything else. We extend reusability-level to business scenario and are able to dynamically cope with changes. In this paper, we consider logistics part as target business domain and do business modeling using worksheet and UML (Unified Modeling Language) diagram of UMM. The modeled scenario is managed as XML (extensible Markup Language) based on BPSS (business process specification schema). Also, it is able to integrate with implement infra, such as messaging service, repository, etc.

New technologies have been continuously introduced in the e-business environment since the emergence of e-commerce. For example, ebXML (electronic business extensible markup language) has been adopted instead of EDI (electronic data interchange) for exchanging electronic documents, or RDB (relational database) is being replaced by OODB (object oriented database) for storing data. In view of the fact ebXML is based on the object-oriented concept, OODB is more efficient than RDB or XML-based e-business system. In this paper, we introduce the electronic document using XML and the object-oriented database instance instead of tables or fields of RDBMS. One of the most important things in designing database is to define the classification rules for choosing elements or attributes among meaningful values. We also propose a system architecture that reflects the ebXML concept and an implementation method using a distributed and component-based architecture.

Currently IMO recommendation mentioned EDIdata elements only for Electronic Means for the Clearance of ships, which is only for electronic documents. Most countries followed by IMO recommendation has been using EDI or XML document(in case of applying single window system)between user and port authority. However, because there are not existing standard communication interface, shipping company(it is declaring entity) have to submit electronic document through various transfer method by corresponding country. Even though it defines standard document for Electronic Means for the Clearance of ships, it is not suitable to goal of IMO because of not defining interface standard. To support messaging standard, other international standard organization defined messaging specification for document exchanging. Therefore, this document proposes the interface standard between shipping company and port authority. Also it proposes the base that is able to support international interoperability integrating with Single Window and UNeDocs. Also it is possible to extend service as just minimal modification of legacy system because it supports to communication interface Future study is that it will design the combined model with Single Window system and will propose designed model for Electronic Means for the Clearance of ships to IMO.Furthermore, when it implements Single Window Guideline for IMO member country, it shall support IMO member country to smoothly interface with other country.

In view of the fact that ebXML is based on the object-oriented concept, OODB is more efficient than RDB at XML-based e-business system. In this paper, we design document format and Database schema with ebXML concept. We designs the XML structure (instance) of OODB instead of table or field of RDBMS(Relational Database Management System). The important thing in Database designing is the classification rule to choose element or attribute among meaningful values. It is also important to define Database configuration rules or archiving rules. That is a key point to determine system performance and efficiency. By numerical analysis, we demonstrate that the proposed DB modelling actually achieves operational efficiency and improve resource utilization.
