Synthesis and spectral properties of meso-phenyltetrabenzoazaporphyrins containing triphenylmethyl groups

N. E. Galanin; L. A. Yakubov; E. V. Kudrik; G. P. Shaposhnikov

Abstract4-(p-Triphenylmethylphenoxy)isoindoline-1,3-diimine was synthesized starting from 4-(p-triphenylmethylphenoxy)phthalodinitrile obtained by the reaction of 4-nitrophthalodinitrile with 4-(triphenylmethyl)phenol. The former was reacted with phenylacetic acid in the presence of zinc oxide to obtain zinc complexes of meso-phenyltetrabenzoazaporphyrins containing triphenylmethyl groups. Spectral properties of the synthesized compounds were studied.

Synthesis and spectral properties of sandwich meso-tetramethyltetrabenzoporphyrin-phthalocyanine complexes with lutetium, erbium, yttrium, and lanthanum

N. E. Galanin; L. A. Yakubov; G. P. Shaposhnikov

The reaction of phthalimide with zinc(II) propanoate gave meso-tetramethyltetrabenzoporphyrinatozinc(II) whose demetalation afforded the corresponding free base. The latter was used to synthesize complexes with lutetium, erbium, yttrium, and lanthanum. Heating of these complexes with excess phthalonitrile led to the formation of sandwich meso-tetramethyltetrabenzoporphyrin-phthalocyanine complexes. Spectral properties of the resulting compounds were studied.

Synthesis and properties of zinc complexes of meso-hexadecyloxy-substituted tetrabenzoporphyrin and tetrabenzoazaporphyrins

L. A. Yakubov; N. E. Galanin; G. P. Shaposhnikov

The hexadecyloxyacetic acid was prepared by alkylation of glycolic acid. Proceeding from the acid obtained zinc complexes were synthesized of meso-trans-di(hexadecyloxy)tetra-benzoporphyrin, meso-tetra(hexadecyloxy)tetrabenzoporphyrin, and also of meso-hexadecyloxytetrabenzoazaporphyrins. The spectral properties of compounds synthesized were investigated.

5,15-diaminotetrabenzoporphyrins: Synthesis and spectral properties

L. A. Yakubov; N. E. Galanin; G. P. Shaposhnikov

A zinc complex of 5,15-di(N-phthalimidyl)tetrabenzoporphyrin was obtained by the reaction of Ncarboxymethylphthalimide with 1-oxo-1H-3-(1-oxoisoindolin-3-ylidenemethyl)isoindole and zinc oxide. The complex demetallation affords 5,15-di(N-phthalimidyl)tetrabenzoporphyrin. The reaction of N-phthalimidylsubstituted tetrabenzoporphyrins with hydrazine hydrate leads to the formation of 5,15-diaminotetrabenzoporphyrins. Spectral properties of these compounds were studied.

meso-tetraalkyltetrabenzoporphyrins and their zinc complexes. Synthesis and properties

L. A. Yakubov; N. E. Galanin; G. P. Shaposhnikov; N. Sh. Lebedeva; E. A. Mal’kova

A number of meso-tetraalkyltetrabenzoporphyrin zinc complexes having alkyl substituents with different lengths were synthesized by reaction of excess phthalimide with zinc salts of aliphatic carboxylic acids. The corresponding free bases were obtained by treatment of the complexes with sulfuric acid. The spectral properties of the complexes and ligands and thermal stability of the former were studied.

Synthesis and spectral parameters of symmetric and unsymmetrical sandwich-like double- and triple-decker lanthanide complexes containing 1-methyltetrabenzooctadehydrocorrin and phthalocyanine fragments

N. E. Galanin; L. A. Yakubov; G. P. Shaposhnikov

Single- and double-decker lanthanide complexes with 1-methyltetrabenzooctadehydrocorrin were synthesized by reaction of 3-[(1-hydroxy-1-methyl-1H-isoindol-3-yl)methylidene]-2,3-dihydro-1H-isoindol-1-one with hydrazine hydrate in the presence of lanthanide acetates. Heating of the former with phthalonitrile gave unsymmetrical double- and triple-decker complexes containing 1-methyltetrabenzooctadehydrocorrin and phthalocyanine fragments. Spectral properties of the synthesized complexes were studied.

Erbium Complexes of "Sandwich" Type Containing Fragments of meso-Tetraphenyltetrabenzoporphyrin and Phthalocyanines of Different Structures. Synthesis and Spectral Properties

N. E. Galanin; L. A. Yakubov; G. L. Pakhomov; G. P. Shaposhnikov

Reactions of erbium acetate meso-tetraphenyltetrabenzoporphyrinate with excess phthalonitrile, 4-nitro- and 4-hydroxyphthalonitrile, and also with dilithium (octa-4,5-pentoxy)-phthalocyanine gave rise to unsymmetrical complexes of “sandwich” structure. The spectral properties of compounds synthesized were examined.

Metal complexes of 1-methyltetrabenzooctadehydrocorrin

N. E. Galanin; L. A. Yakubov; E. V. Kudrik; G. P. Shaposhnikov

In reaction of 2,3-dihydro-3-[(1-hydroxy-1-methyl-1H-isoindol-3-yl)methylene]-1H-isoindol-1-one with hydrazine hydrate in the presence of a template agent (metal acetates) in butanol environment metal complexes formed of 1-methyltetrabenzooctadehydrocorrin. A scheme of formation of these compounds was suggested and their spectral characteristics were investigated.

Synthesis and properties of [4-(triphenylmethyl)phenoxy]acetic and 3-[4-(triphenylmethyl)phenoxy]propionic acids and their condensation with phthalimide leading to meso-substituted tetrabenzoporphyrins

N. E. Galanin; L. A. Yakubov; G. P. Shaposhnikov

Condensation of 4-(triphenylmethyl)phenol with monochloroacetic and 3-bromopropionic acids gave, respectively, [4-(triphenylmethyl)phenoxy]acetic and 3-[4-(triphenylmethyl)phenoxy]propionic acids which reacted with phthalimide in the presence of zinc acetate to produce meso-substituted zinc tetrabenzoporphyrins having bulky triphenylmethyl groups in the substituent. The corresponding free ligands were obtained by demetalation of the zinc complexes. Spectral properties of the synthesized compounds were studied.

Synthesis and spectral properties of [3-(heptyloxy)phenoxy]acetic acid and its derived meso-sibstituted tetrabenzoporphyrins

N. E. Galanin; L. A. Yakubov; G. P. Shaposhnikov

Abstract3-Heptyloxyphenol was obtained by reaction of resorcinol with 1-bromoheptane. Further alkylation with monochloroacetc acid resulted in the synthesis of [3-(heptyloxy)phenoxy]acetic acid. Heating of the latter with phthalimide in the presence of zinc acetate afforded zinc complexes of meso-[(3-heptyloxy)phenoxy] tetrabenzoporphyrins whose demetalization gave free porphyrin bases. Spectral properties of the synthesized compounds were studied.
