Avaliação de um protótipo para Sistematização da Assistência de Enfermagem em dispositivo móvel

Abstract Objectives: assess a prototype for use on mobile devices that permits registering data for the Systemization of Nursing Care at a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Method: an exploratory and descriptive study was undertaken, characterized as an applied methodological research, developed at a teaching hospital. Results: the mobile technology the nurses at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit use was positive, although some reported they faced difficulties to manage it, while others with experience in using mobile devices did not face problems to use it. The application has the functions needed for the Systematization of Nursing Care at the unit, but changes were suggested in the interface of the screens, some data collection terms and parameters the application offers. The main contributions of the software were: agility in the development and documentation of the systemization, freedom to move, standardization of infant assessment, optimization of time to develop bureaucratic activities, possibilities to recover information and reduction of physical space the registers occupy. Conclusion: prototype software for the Systemization of Nursing Care with mobile technology permits flexibility for the nurses to register their activities, as the data can be collected at the bedside.Objetivo: evaluar un prototipo para dispositivo movil que posibilite el registro de datos para la Sistematizacion de la Asistencia de Enfermeria en una Unidad de Terapia Intensiva Neonatal. Metodo: estudio exploratorio, descriptivo, caracterizado tambien como investigacion metodologica del tipo aplicada, desarrollado en un hospital escuela. Resultados: la tecnologia movil utilizada por los enfermeros en la Unidad de Terapia Intensiva Neonatal fue positiva, a pesar de que algunos relataron haber encontrado dificultades en manipularla, por otro lado los que tienen experiencias con el uso de dispositivos moviles, no presentaron problemas en su utilizacion. El aplicativo dispone de las funciones necesarias para la Sistematizacion de la Asistencia de Enfermeria en la unidad, sin embargo, fueron sugeridas alteraciones en lo que se refiere a la interfaz de las pantallas, a algunos terminos de la recoleccion de datos y a parametros disponibles en el aplicativo. Las principales contribuciones del software fueron: agilidad en desarrollar y documentar la sistematizacion, libertad de movimientos, estandarizacion de la evaluacion del recien nacido, optimizacion del tiempo en la realizacion de actividades burocraticas, posibilidad de rescatar informaciones y reduccion del espacio fisico ocupado por los registros. Conclusion: un software prototipo para Sistematizacion de la Asistencia de Enfermeria con tecnologia movil posibilita la flexibilidad en la realizacion de las actividades de registro por el enfermero, una vez que la recoleccion de datos puede ser realizada al lado de la cama.
