Abstract. Spermathecae of 72 species of the genus Stolas Billberg, 1820 have been studied and figured. Spermathecae of particular species are characterized by a set of constant and distinct characters and in many cases they are also diagnostic on species group level. Correlation was observed between some species groups created on the basis of external characters and structure of their Spermathecae.

Abstract Tetramorium semilaeve André, 1883 is redescribed based on the type series and new material from terra typica (Pyrénées-Orientales). Lectotype worker is designated. Detailed descriptions of gyne and male are given. A review of material from the Mediterranean area suggests that in the past the name Tetramorium semilaeve has been applied to more than one species and the true Tetramorium semilaeve is common only in the western part of the Mediterranean basin. The structure of the male genitalia is the most reliable set of characters allowing a proper distinction of species in Tetramorium semilaeve species group. All names attributed to the former name “semilaeve” are discussed.

Dicladispa testacea (Linnaeus, 1767) is a member of the tribe Hispini Gyllenhal, 1813 associated with plants of the family Cistaceae Juss. and is widely distributed in the Mediterranean Basin. Immature stages are described in detail, including line drawings, chaetotaxy, sculpture of integument, and SEM photos of morphological details. This is the first detailed description of immatures in the tribe Hispini, and this can be regarded as a model description for studies of other species in the tribe. Diagnostic characters for this species in comparison with other described larvae and pupae of the genus Dicladispa and the sympatric Hispa atra Linnaeus, 1767 are discussed. Some remarks on the biology of Dicladispa testacea, such as host plants, feeding patterns of adults, structure of larval and pupal mines, are also given.

Abstract. Three species of Cassida Linné, 1758 from NE India are described as new to the science: Cassida mishmiensis sp. nov. (Arunachal Pradesh), C. atrosignata sp. nov. (Arunachal Pradesh) and C. pacholatkoi sp. nov. (Meghalaya). Type material of Thlaspida obenbergeri Spaeth, 1928 has been studied and a lectotype designation is given here. Thlaspida obenbergeri is transferred to the genus Cassida (comb, nov.) and a following new synonym is proposed: Cassida crucipennis Borowiec, 2003 = Cassida obenbergeri (Spaeth, 1928).

Seven new species of Gonioctena Chevrolat are described from the Oriental region and Palaearctic China: Gonioctena (Asiphytodecta) mausonensis sp. nov., G. (A.) oudai sp. nov., G. (Brachyphytodecta) arunensis sp. nov., G. (B.) mauroi sp. nov., G. (B.) medvedevi sp. nov., G. (Gonioctena) fujiana sp. nov. and G. (G.) mongolica sp. nov. Gonioctena (Asiphytodecta) subgeminata tonkinensis (Chen, 1934) is removed from synonymy with G. (A.) subgeminata (Chen, 1934) and raised to the species level. Gonioctena (Gonioctena) suwai Takizawa, 1985 is synonymized with G. (G.) ogloblini Medvedev & Dubeshko, 1972. Gonioctena (Asiphytodecta) sapaensis nom. nov. is proposed as a replacement name for G. (A.) unicolor Medvedev, 1987 not Phytodecta quinquepunctata var. unicolor Weise, 1884. Lectotype is designated for Phytodecta subgeminatus var. tonkinensis Chen, 1934.

Immature stages of Chelymorpha reimoseri Spaeth, 1928 are described in detail, including line drawings, chaetotaxy, sculpture of integument, and SEM photos of morphological details. It is the first detailed description of immatures in the genus Chelymorpha Chevrolat, 1836 and the fourth in the tribe Mesomphaliini Chapuis, 1875 which include chaetotaxy of the body. Diagnostic characters for this species in comparison with other described larvae and pupae of the genus Chelymorpha are discussed. Some remarks on the biology of Ch. reimoseri, are also given.

Abstract Temnothorax antigoni (Forel, 1911) is redescribed basing on a new material from southwestern Turkey (Antalya province), Lesbos and Rhodes (Greece, Aegean and Dodecanese islands). The gyne of this species is described for the first time. Temnothorax curtisetosus, a new species of social parasite collected in a nest of Temnothorax antigoni, is described. Colour photos of both taxa are given. A key to the worker caste of the eastern Mediterranean species belonging to both Temnothorax recedens and Temnothorax muellerianus groups are provided.

Abstract This paper relates to material obtained during two field trips to the Peloponnese in 2013 and 2016. With the inclusion of some hitherto unpublished ant material, it gives new records from a total of 92 sampling localities. 129 species (including morphospecies not attributed to any known taxon) of ants have been recorded from the Peloponnese (southern Greece), 27 of which have been recorded from this region for the first time. Lasius reginae and 5 other morphospecies attributed only to species complexes are new to Greece.

Abstract. Tetramorium galaticum Menozzi, 1936, new status and Tetramorium hippocratis Agosti & Collingwood, 1987, members of Tetramorium semilaeve complex, are redescribed based on new materials from Greece and western Turkey. Detailed description of gyne and male is given for the first time. Two new species of this complex with all castes are described: Tetramorium kephalosi (Greece and Croatia) and Tetramorium bellerophoni (Turkey). Differential diagnoses from T. semilaeve, colour photos of all castes and male genitalia are given.
