There is much reported research on risk, and risk management but research on strategic IT system development outsourcing risk, from the client perspective, remains unclear. A literature-based conceptual risk framework for strategic IT system development outsourcing from the client perspective has been developed. We then investigate, (1) critical client risks for strategic IT system development outsourcing projects, and (2) the most common critical client risk factors for such projects. In order to identify any serious omissions in our framework an initial validation of the risk framework is provided through a review of nine published cases of unsuccessful strategic IT system development outsourcing projects. The risks critical to a client are associated with complexity, contract, execution, financial, legal, the organizational environment, planning and control, scope and requirements, the team, and the user. Risks manifest in all nine published cases, include (1) complexity and (2) the team. Three risk factors not previously identified in the initial framework are included in a revised framework. The risk framework assisted us in identifying a number of critical risk factors affecting the outcome of strategic IT system development outsourcing projects.

Increasing trends in using augmented reality applications on mobile devices among older people have been observed. It is well recognized that some problems are faced by older people in adopting mobile devices. It is vital to understand the problems in order to design better mobile devices that suit older people since they will make up the highest proportion of the population in later years. The paper highlights literatures conducted in investigating mobile applications and augmented reality applications developed for older people that can enhance the mobile device usage among them. The new trends of augmented reality applications allow older people to achieve more benefits from use of mobile devices.

Knowledge Management (KM) is recognized by many organizations as an important tool in promoting competitiveness and organizational sustainability. However, it has been stressed that the organizational readiness for KM needs to be assessed before embarking on the actual implementation. A comprehensive review of the KM literature reveals that very limited information is available on KM readiness. In view of this, a comprehensive research model for organizational readiness for KM process implementation is proposed. Based on this model, the extent of KM readiness in Malaysian public sector organizations can be investigated. The methods employed for the overall research will be focus group interviews and survey.

Today the use of mobile devices has increased tremendously in all aspects of daily life. It has also provided older people with better means of communication, which allows them to connect with their family and social groups. However, they face challenges in using mobile devices due to their age-related physical limitations and unfamiliarity of various mobile device designs. This preliminary study was conducted to understand the older peoples experiences in using mobile devices and their applications, in which a survey and a discussion had been carried out among the older users. Findings indicated that older people were aware of its technological benefits, but they faced issues related to the variety of mobile device designs and also motivational factors that prevented them from fully utilising the devices.

This paper investigates previous literature that focusses on the three elements: risk assessment, big data and cloud. We use a systematic literature mapping method to search for journals and proceedings. The systematic literature mapping process is utilized to get a properly screened and focused literature. With the help of inclusion and exclusion criteria, the search of literature is further narrowed. Classification helps us in grouping the literature into categories. At the end of the mapping, gaps can be seen. The gap is where our focus should be in analysing risk of big data in cloud computing environment. Thus, a framework of how to assess the risk of security, privacy and trust associated with big data and cloud computing environment is highly needed.

The use of mobile devices have huge potential to assist mobile users to perform everyday tasks. However, there is small percentage of older people are using mobile devices. This shown that, there is several factors that influenced the small group of older people to adopt the technology. In addition, there have been limited studies which investigate factors that influenced older people to adopt mobile devices. This study aims to understand the cause in which have encourage older people to adopt such technology. Qualitative methods including interview and focus groups were conducted among twenty one older people aged 55 and above. The results indicated that, there were five factors that influence older people to use mobile devices. The factors were mobile device design, functions, social inspiration, economical and others.

The older people population in the world is showing a steady increase and Malaysia is projected to having an ageing population in 2025 as the percentage will reach over 7.1% (an indicator of an ageing population) of the total population. Information and Communication Technology (ICT) offers opportunities to create conducive environment for older people, but there may be a significant number of older people particularly in Malaysia who are not informed, astute, and learned consumers with respect to ICT and so could be denied many of the technology potential benefits. Drawing upon data from group sessions held with 51 participants of various age groups, this paper reports on a preliminary study to explore the current state of Malaysian older people interaction with and expectations in ICT including mobile communications in aspects of their everyday life. Comparison in terms of mobile device usage among participants was also presented. The study has highlighted (1) ways in which ICT has supported and can support older people and (2) mobile usage patterns of younger and older users.

Green IT practice is not new term word inbusiness organisation and has actually spread in practice andapplication witnessing people working on the bright side of it.Green IT typically collaborates strongly with theenvironment. However, this paper removes itself from merelyfocusing on that perspective. In the context of this study, organisational sustainability is viewed based on threeperspectives: - which are economic, social and environmental(Triple Bottom Line index). These three factors areconsidered as the primary function of this research. Finally, this paper attempts to investigate, whether theimplementation of Green IT practice benefits and leads toorganisational sustainability.

Software development process in general starts with Requirements Engineering (RE) process. During the RE process, requirements are identified, analyzed and relevant information is modelled into representation that could be further used by the development team. These processes involve abstraction processes at various levels of details according to the chosen software development methodology. In addition, the design decisions are largely contributed by the experiences of the development team. Hence, an incremental approach has been defined in [1], [2] to propose a systematic way of constructing component-based systems from natural language requirements (NLR). This paper describes an experiment to further evaluate the incremental approach in the view of correctness.

It is not about the tools, its using the tools to facilitate learning. This research explores the nature of the outcomes experienced by students for using audience response system technology in the classroom. Specifically, this study answers the question “What are the impacts of ARS on performance outcomes in secondary level education?” A personally administer questionnaire and quasi-experimental method was used. Kirkpatricks four-level model was used to measure the performance outcome of the student in computer studies class at Adni International Islamic School. The finding shows that, student reaction outcome was positive. Student learning outcome improved but student behavior slightly changes due to the utilization of ARS. The post-test result outcome shows that there is no significant difference between students who received instruction through the audience response system and students who received instruction through non-technology based methods.
