Research on SOA-based Manufacturing Grid and Service Modes

Liu Lilan; He Yu'an; Yu Tao; Xiong Zonghui

With the rapid development of information technology and networked manufacturing technology, there is a need for resource owners to utilize and manage manufacturing resources effectively within the Manufacturing grid (MG). Grid technologies can be aligned with Web service technologies in order to capitalize on desirable Web service properties and develop self describing, discoverable grid services. In this paper, we propose a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)-based MG framework which constructs MG services layer, MG toolkit layer and MG applications layer under the MG infrastructure layer. According to the SOA-based MG, we propose that the MG service modes follow the sequence which firstly constructs the single function service with fine granularity (basic services), secondly combines single function services to combination services with coarse granularity (application services), and finally constructs the manufacturing business process model.

Research on Manufacturing Resource Discovery Based on Ontology and QoS in Manufacturing Grid

He Yu'an; Yu Tao; Liu Lilan; Sun Haiyang

The core of manufacturing grid (MG) is manufacturing resource (MR) sharing and collaboration, so the efficient discovery of sharable MRs is the precondition and basis that the resource sharing, collaborative design and manufacturing can be realized successfully in MG. Aiming at the problem that semantic information is represented insufficiently when MRs are searched in MG, we propose an ontology-based MR discovery architecture which is based on semantic Web technology. Then from the point of view based on semantics and QoS (quality of service), the main framework of resource matchmaking is constructed, in which three processes are included: task modeling, resource modeling, semantic modeling and resource matchmaking. On the basis of resource representation model and manufacturing features-oriented task representation model, combining with the research results of semantic Web, some pivotal concepts are defined about the matchmaking resources. Finally, by means of a functional semantic extending method based on the ontology and QoS, the MR matchmaking algorithm is constructed

A SLA-aware Architecture for Manufacturing Grid Resource Management

Shen Bin; Yu Tao; Liu Lilan

Performing more sophisticated manufacturing task on manufacturing grid (MG) demands increased level of control over manufacturing services. We present a SLA-aware (service level agreement) manufacturing grid resource management architecture to address this challenge. Of this architecture, resource scheduler module allows a SLA to be negotiated between manufacturing resource provider and consumer to guarantee the level of provided manufacturing capability, and resource co-reservation module assures necessary manufacturing resources are available when required; furthermore, the approach of manufacturing resource encapsulation (MRE) makes it possible to combine manufacturing resources span multiple manufacturing grid domains to provide the manufacturing capability required by submitted manufacturing task.

A QoS-based Task Decomposing Middleware Research for Manufacturing Grid

He Yu'an; Yu Tao; Liu Lilan; Shen Bin; Sun Haiyang

A task in manufacturing grid (MG) must be decomposed into many subtasks, so as to match every subtask with a manufacturing resource, and make the subtasks working effectively using the geographically distributed, heterogeneous manufacturing resources in synchronization. Since the complexity of the manufacturing tasks, it is impossible for us to decompose the manufacturing tasks with an automatic way completely. The authors believe that task decomposing is an application middleware in MG and propose a QoS-based task decomposing approach of combining automation with manpower, i.e. searching successful case database (SCD), decomposing a task with global process planning (GPP) template, and tasks decomposed by a project manager and an expert.

Research on concurrent design of collaborative product commerce oriented discrete manufacturing enterprises

Liu Lilan; Yu Tao; Fang Ming-lun; Wang Xiaohong

In order to fulfill the product concurrent design requirements of discrete manufacturing enterprises, this paper puts forth for the first time a Collaborative Product Commerce (CPC) oriented X2D (X to Design) theory, which can take Collaboration, Commerce and Concurrence (3C) into realization during the product design stage. At the same time, this research adopts VPN (Virtual Private Network) technique to ensure the security of product data and information during transportation. By building CPC-oriented and VPN-based framework of X2D product concurrent design system, the paper explores a way for discrete enterprises adapting to the drastically competitive market and performing their product innovation.

Research on Process Design of Intelligent Fault Diagnosis for Complicated System

Cao Shouqi; Han Yanling; Sun Xin-min; Liu Lilan

Combining the characteristics of complicated system in the way of structure and function, such as stratify, relevance, parallel and intricacy, the paper took the diagnosis object as a whole, and from the view of responding custom request and solving the complicated tasks, researched two key technologies, including fault diagnosis process and diagnosis resource utilization. The diagnosis task decomposition mode of complicated system was exhausted. Combining the restraint relationships among the tasks, processes and activities, the activities organization process based on restraint and its solution strategy were analyzed; the paper analyzed the resource management and dispatch process based on multi-agent, and finally given the resource optimization dispatch algorithm based on target criterion of TQCS (Time, Quality, Cost and Safeness).

Multi-view Analysis on Coordinate Intelligent Diagnosis Process

Han Yanling; Cao Shouqi; Liu Lilan

Facing to the increasingly complication and intelligence of modern manufacture system, the research on coordinate intelligent diagnosis has become development trend. This paper proposed the multi-view model of coordinate intelligent diagnosis process, parsed deeply the organization and running mode of information, knowledge and intelligence in the process of intelligent diagnosis, and depicted its structure appearance. At first, the multi-view model and the mutual relationship description of coordinate intelligent diagnosis were given from the macroscopic and microcosmic facets; and then, from four sides such as structure, action, knowledge and restraint, coordinate intelligent diagnosis process was investigated, the structure view, action view, knowledge view and restraint view of coordinate intelligent diagnosis process were built from all sides and multi-angle; the coordinate and intelligent characteristic of diagnosis process were researched deeply, which established the basis for further research on related technology of coordinate intelligent diagnosis process.
