The exact solutions of the Schrodinger equation for quantum damped oscillator with modified Caldirola-Kanai Hamiltonian are evaluated. We also investigate the cases of under-, over-, and critical damping.

We performed a two-variable canonical transformation on the time momentum operator, and without loss of generality we carried out a three-variable transformation on the coordinate and momentum space operators to trivialize the Hamiltonian operator of the system. Fortunately, this operation separates the time-coordinate and space coordinate naturally, and the wave function of the time-dependent Harmonic Oscillator is evaluated via the generator.

Measurements of global solar radiation and sunshine duration data during the period from 1984 to 1999 were supplied by IITA (International Institute of Tropical Agriculture) at Onne. The data were used to establish empirical relationships that would connect the daily monthly average diffuse irradiation with both relative sunshine duration and clearness index separately and in combination. The estimated results were then compared with measured values of a nearby location since measured data on diffuse radiation for this location is not available. The correlation connecting diffuse radiation with percentage possible sunshine is found to be applicable over Onne. Keywords : Diffuse, solar radiation, Onne. Viscosity of diesel adulterated SAE 40 engine oil at varying proportions of the mixture is presented. Regression, variation of intercept and the power parameters methods are used for developing polynomial and power law functions for predicting proportion of either diesel or engine oil in diesel adulterated SAE 40 engine oil sample. KeyWords : SAE 40 engine oil, diesel, viscosity, adulterated. (Global Journal of Pure and Applied Sciences: 2002 8(4): 513-516)
