The article is about some reflections on the Educational Psychology from the construction of a research process in two public schools on the outskirt of Fortaleza. The research adopted the theoretical and methodological perspective of intervention research based on French Institutional Analysis and proposed to investigate the connections between public school, media and youth. The purpose of this article was to discuss the relations among the people inside the school highlighted by the dynamics of the research, with emphasis on methodological aspect in the process of research with schools. The procedures used were the refunds, participant observations, conversations with managers and video workshop. The events analyzers showed the relations among the people inside the school were traversed by the indiscipline and the unauthorized uses of media in the classroom, as well as repercussions of working life in school life; competition, professionalism and lack of time. The analysis of the research process WITH young and WITH schools brought many questions and the understanding that the invention of new practices and the (re) invention of research are fundamental.

The present work discusses the image culture as a way of producing subjectivity in contemporary world. We intend to investigate the implications of technical and technological reproductibility of images in the spectrum of subjectivity. The concept of aura as described by Walter Benjamin is here redimensioned in face of the current discussion. When technologically reproduced images appeared, the aura in arts was lost. The image culture, however, captured this aura, turning it into an instrument. What would be the consequences of this process for subjectivity? Have we become slaves to the tyranny of images? Or what other mechanisms is it capable to produce using the same technological apparatus facing submission?

This theoretical study aims to discuss the production of self-care in scientific and mediatic discourses, based on the thougth of Michel Foucault about subject, speech and body. Science and media issues in the relationship are knowledge-power, operating through discourses in producing regimes of truth. The scientific discourses do not translate the truth about the nature of things, nor are just reproducers of the class struggles and/or the psychical conflicts. They are materiality producers of ways of living, bodies and subjects. Also the mediatic discourses are not only valued for mediating information between producers and spectators. The media produces and circulates discourses urging the subject to confess, to produce knowledge of himself. Finally, science and media are strategies of knowledge-power that together act on bodies and involve ways of self-behaviour.

This text makes a reading of The cave, by Jose Saramago, searching the interface of this production with questions concerning to Psychology, specifically the connection between work and its influence in the process of subjectivity production. Reality- Based literary portrayed, the essay raises questions about the advent of Modernity, historical period used as background of the storyline development, as well as the insertion of the subject in this new era, depicted by the industrial production model and the establishment of that model as a prevailing way of life of the modern societies. The transition scenario to a new social order composes the drama of the Algor family, broaching the metamorphosis suffered by the working, and which were imposed to the worker, in virtue of the emerging social-historical organization.
