O caso-limitee as sabotagens do prazer

What comes next was based on different points of view, as the one from Andre Green who emphasized the concept of “limit” as an operating factor of the psychoanalytic thought and who pointed at and studied the basic anxieties present in borderline cases. Then I shall use other authors who agree between them, when pointing at a basic problematic area in the so called borderline cases: it is the area of an-structuring (Bergeret) or the area of lack of Ego cohesion (Meissner). I shall be also taking into consideration the formulations by Kernberg and Horner about the oscillatory patterns in these patients’ s affectivity. I do suggest that theories from Federn and Fairbairn although very different in their conceptions and presuppositions about psychic life, should be used for a better comprehension of the problems related to the constitution of the subjectivity of borderline patients. Based on a short text from Pontalis, I propose an articulation between federnian and fairbairnian ideas with some aspects of Freud’s theory. I shall then raise some questions about the difficulty that such patients (borderline) have to engage in pleasure situations and to become able to go through and sustain a state of satisfaction.

O presente trabalho tem como proposito sugerir que, embora as teorizacoes freudianas relativas a angustia tragam as marcas da Matriz Funcionalista provenientes da funda insercao do autor no campo da biologia evolucionista do seculo XIX, aqui como em outras partes, a pesquisa psicanalitica leva Freud a romper com alguns dos pressupostos do funcionalismo. Basicamente, as enfases na adaptacao, na auto-equilibracao e na temporalidade concebida em termos de evolucao e desenvolvimento devem ceder terreno diante de uma consideracao mais detida da angustia na experiencia humana. E a partir dai que uma interlocucao com os filosofos Heidegger e Levinas pode ser procurada como meio de facilitar a emergencia no proprio corpo teorico e clinico da Psicanalise de algumas perspectivas ja entrevistas por Freud e que nao poderiam ser plenamente acolhidas enquanto o pensamento psicanalitico permanecesse sob o dominio do funcionalismo.

Winnicott's style and its implications: a study on authorization, authenticity and influence in psychoanalysis

The article focuses on the consequences of Winnicotts style for his work and for the psychoanalysis inspired by his work. Within this framework, the article discusses possibilities and deadlocks for an appropriation of Winnicotts work and the complex relation between his work and dogmatism, formation, innovation and filiation.
