In order to eliminate the main problems of clean water shortage and fine aggregate in the low land areas and the distant islands, it is purpose to utilized the sea water, marine sand and Portland composite cement to produce the high performance Self-Compacting Concrete (SCC), where Portland composite cement containing of fly ash. The evaluation result on the mix design, workability (slump flow, segregation), mechanical properties (compressive strength-static modulus) and hydration process of SCC were discussed.

Cement production, which results in higher CO2 levels, has a negative impact on environment. This phenomenon has caused the emergence of a new type of environmentally friendly cement, such as Portland Composite Cement (PCC). On the other hand, rainfall becomes high acidity level. This will be an issue in the construction of concrete, which causes concrete deterioration if value of pH is below 6. The purpose of this study is to investigate corrosion caused by acid rainfall when used PCC cement mixed with RHA. RHA replacement level of 5%, by weight of cement was used in this study. The compressive strength design was 30 MPa. The simulated acid rain solution was prepared by mixing solution of H2SO4 and HNO3 to reach value pH of 4. The deterioration was measured by the number of corrosion product using SEM test. The results indicate a decrease in the number of component corrosion that occurs by using ASP.

Abstract—This research aims to study the usability of domato stone as coarse aggregate in mixure of permeable asphalt pavement. This study focuses to examine the compressive strength and the stress strain relationship of permeable asphalt containing domato stone and BNA (Buton Natural Asphalt) Blend. Domato stone is a limestone containing quarzite dolomite that obtained from the coast of the Banggai island, Central Celebes. The test results shows that the stress strain curve of compression test results for dense asphalt concrete was similar to the stress strain curve of the porous asphalt using domato stone and BNA blend. The unconfined compressive test result of porous asphalt containing domato stone showed that the mixture with 4% BNA has compressive strength value 2.4MPa and void ratio 19.2%, respectively.
