Relationships and interactions in healthy process to be an adolescent

The purpose of this study is to explore how teenagers view the relationships and interactions in the process of healthily becoming an adolescent. This qualitative exploratory research was conducted with ten teenagers in a state college in a town in southern Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, from August to October, 2007. We used semi-structured interviews to collect the data. Later, we decided to use a thematic analysis, in which two themes emerged: (1) the process of building relationships and interactions in adolescence and (2) the risk in social life. As a result, we realized the importance of interpersonal relationships formed in adolescence, which deserve the nurses attention. Nurses can help in the guiding of this population in basic health units, hospitals or schools, to a healthy adolescence. Thus, teenagers may enjoy the relationships built in this process in order to grow and to enter into adulthood.Este estudo teve como objetivo conhecer a percepcao de adolescentes acerca dos relacionamentos e interacoes no processo de adolescer saudavel. Tratou-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa do tipo exploratoria, realizada com dez adolescentes em um colegio estadual de uma cidade no sul do Rio Grande do Sul, durante os meses de agosto a outubro de 2007. Para a coleta dos dados, foram utilizadas entrevistas semi-estruturadas. Posteriormente, optou-se pela analise tematica, na qual emergiram dois temas: o processo de construcao dos relacionamentos e interacoes no adolescer e riscos presentes no convivio social. Frente a isso, percebeu-se a importância das relacoes interpessoais formadas na adolescencia merecendo atencao do enfermeiro, que pode colaborar na orientacao dessa populacao seja, nas Unidades Basicas de Saude, hospitais ou no ambiente escolar, a adolescerem de maneira saudavel. Assim, os adolescentes poderao aproveitar os vinculos construidos para crescerem e firmarem-se na fase adulta.

Espiritualidade nos cuidados paliativos: experiência vivida de uma equipe interdisciplinar

Objective To understand the experience of spirituality in the daily routine of a palliative care interdisciplinary team. Method A qualitative study was conducted with an oncological palliative care team in southern Brazil. The data was collected through phenomenological interviews in 2014, and interpreted using a hermeneutic phenomenological approach. Results Six professionals participated in the study. Spiritually-related activities, such as prayer and providing comprehensive care, were useful therapeutic resources for offering comfort, survival with dignity and humanization of death, in addition to helping the team and patients understand the end-of-life process and search for meaning in the suffering caused by illness. Conclusion Spirituality on the part of professionals with patients imparted meaning to their palliative care work and facilitated the formation of bonds between teams, patients, and family members.

Gestión de conflictos: desafíos vividos por los enfermeros-líderes en el ambiente del hospitalario

This study aimed to understand the main conflicts experienced by nurses-leaders in the hospital environment, as well as the strategies adopted to face them.The study reflects a qualitative descriptive type approach, which was used in the case study as research strategy. The study included 25 nurses who worked in three hospitals in the city of Florianopolis, Santa Catarina. Information where obtained in the months of May to December of 2010 through semi-structured interviews, non-participant observation and dialogical workshops. Data were analyzed using the Thematic Analysis. The results demonstrated the predominant of interpersonal conflicts involving the multidisciplinary team, nurses and the nursing staff Adopting a participatory leadership, based on dialogue emerges as a strategy for coping with conflicts in the hospital environment.
