Decomposição estrutural da variação do emprego nos setores industriais no brasil entre os anos de 2000 e 2009

The aim of this article is to analyze the employment variation in manufacturing industries between years 2000-2009 in Brazil. It employs an input-output methodology, by means of employment structural decomposition into intensity, technology, demand, growth and total effects. The main results showed that in the period Brazilian manufacturing sectors added up 4.38 million jobs, which represented 25% of total jobs created in the country. Among the studied effects, growth and intensity shall be highlighted as the main responsible outcomes. Considering total impacts, the industries that showed greater relative increase in jobs where: food and beverage, clothes and construction. The results lead to the conclusion that, in the studied period, manufacturing in Brazil showed an increase in employment rates, with technology, despite not being the lone factor, having produced a positive impact in job creation.

Fatores determinantes da inovação nas empresas agroindustriais de carne

The paper analyzes the determinants of innovations in products and processes in agribusiness meat enterprises. The sample was intentional, from 94 Brazilian companies, and the methodology was of quantitative and analytical nature. We used nonparametric statistics, univariate and bivariate analysis, and hypothesis testing. Six hypotheses were tested in empirical research by survey, and statistical analysis confirmed them: firms are less innovative; most do process innovations, through the purchase of modern equipment, and offer new products; the main sources of innovation are suppliers, customers, conferences, fairs and exhibitions. Large companies are exporters, invest more in innovation, adopt offensive technological strategies and use government resources for R&D. We concluded that the sector has low innovative potential, changes result from incremental innovations and innovative firms have larger size and export potential.

Estimativas da tarifa econômica a ser cobrada no mercado de água rural londrinense: valoração contingente1

Este estudo visa estimar a tarifa economica a ser cobrada pelo uso da agua bruta no mercado de agua rural londrinense. Conforme a Lei paranaense no 12.726/99, que institui a Politica Estadual de Recursos Hidricos, toda a zona urbana esta submetida a cobranca pela retirada e poluicao das aguas, mas o setor rural esta isento. Porem, em analises de impactos economicos de estudos selecionados, verificou-se que os setores mais sensiveis a cobranca pelo uso da agua sao a agricultura e o abastecimento rural.
