Decomposição estrutural da variação do emprego no Brasil, 1991-2003

The aim of this article was to analyze the variation of employment in the Brazilian economy in the period between 1991 and 2003 through the decomposition of structural change in employment intensity effect, technology effect, structure of final demand effect and change in final demand effect. It was also estimated the rates of structural change in employment, production and value added. The results showed the displacement of jobs in industrial and agricultural sectors for trade and services with increase in the total number of people employed in 7.30 million, with the effects of varying intensity and showed that the final demand the highest values.

ASPECTOS DA ECONOMIA REGINAL DE PORTO ALEGRE

This article discusses selected aspects of Porto Alegre regional economy and reveals the existence of positive joint in the regions surrounding the city, highlighting its relevance in relation to GDP and generated employment. The metropolitan area is integrated from an economic point of view, from its historical roots and sectors of the service area have been highlighted in relation to salary and job mass, but they did not show the best average wages per worker. In the social aspect, the municipality showed an improvement in its HDI, signaling an improvement in social indicators and the creation of a collective identity in all areas that will be integrated.

A study of APL's south of saint benedict (SC) and Arapongas (PR) multipliers from the production, employment and income

The objective of this research is to do a practical and theoretical analysis about industrial concentration areas, focusing, mainly, the called APL’s (Arranjos Produtivos Locais), which means (Local Productive Arrangements) that are one of the most well-known and studied kinds of industrial concentration on Brazil. To the practical development specific of the work were chosen two towns on Brazil: Arapongas/PR and Sao Bento do Sul/SC, that are knowledge for your specialization on furniture sector. The work is developed in three sections. The first have the objective of provide the mainly references about industrial concentration, both in Brazil and abroad, exposing the evolution of the concept of APL. The research follows the presentation of the second section, which are presented the methodologies for identifying APL’s and the input-output matrix, which have an important participation on the practical analysis performed. The section is completed with an explanation of the importance of the multiplier, which provide for specialized work. In the third and final section presents the results of the research, which can verify the actual importance of the furniture sector have for development of this two towns. Structural change and dualism in Brazil: An input-output analysis for the years 2000 and 2007

A reestruturacao produtiva da economia brasileira, ocorrida a partir dos anos 1990, em conjunto com a desconcentracao industrial e a maior insercao do Brasil no comercio internacional fez nascer uma controversia enfrentada pela economia nacional sobre estar ou nao havendo uma desindustrializacao no pais pos 1990. A fim de contribuir com este debate o presente artigo tem por objetivo analisar o tema por uma perspectiva diferente, qual seja a de observar a importância dos setores pela otica dos indicadores economicos calculados a partir das matrizes insumo-produto nacionais estimadas para os anos de 2000 e 2007. Assim, foram estimados os multiplicadores de producao, emprego, valor adicionado e importacao e os indices de ligacao intersetoriais de Rasmussen-Hirschman. Como principal resultado tem-se que a discussao da desindustrializacao e da doenca holandesa pode ser superada por um debate ainda mais preocupante, a saber, a necessidade de retomada do planejamento estrategico da estrutura produtiva da economia brasileira.
