Radoslav Krehel; Denisa Krchová; Marek Kočiško

In different kinds of industries, newer types of machines are implemented, on which higher and higher requirements are given. High level of production is the essential key for scientific and technological progress in different kind of sectors which contain human activity. Improvement, increasing the efficiency and quality of manufacturing processes are connected with the progress in tool machines. Amongst many indicators that describe the technological level of tool machines is the working part, which has the minor position.

Proposal of the Knowledge Application Environment of Calculating Operational Parameters for Conventional Machining Technology

Petr Baron; Jozef Dobránsky; Martin Pollák; Tomáš Cmorej; Marek Kočiško

Calculation of the machining parameters is one of the basic routine operations carried out before initializing the work and technological operations on a machine tool. Basis for calculating these parameters is obtained from the technical documentation in the form of rules, tables, catalogues and company literature. It can be concluded that this is a routine activity which represents a significant proportion of the activities performed before actual production of the product. It is exactly the routine activities that are possible to underpin and process well with the help of computers and appropriate application equipment. This contribution describes the design and implementation of a knowledge based system of calculation of the processing and operational machining parameters with the possibility of parameter correction with regard to specific technological equipment. The result is the obtaining of an optimal machine setting for machined range of products with a consideration for the production efficiency, durability of the cutting tool and the possibility of reusing the archived operational parameters.

I. Vojtko; Veronika Fečová; Marek Kočiško; Jozef Novak-Marcincin

Amount of the energy contained in the Earths water cycle is huge, but its use is difficult. The most common method is the production of hydroelectric power stations. In todays society, small hydro power plants present the most efficient, ecological and economic way of generation of the electricity. These plants create a part of acquirement of electric current from the renewable resources. This contribution describes the function of hydro power plants and turbines, mainly Kaplan. Article introduces small hydro power plant Sulin and presents technical solutions concerning the proposal of construction of the turbine and the analysis of the inflow part of turbines body containing the proposal of new turbine blades.

Research on impacts of mechanical vibrations on the production machine to its rate of change of technical state

Štefánia Salokyová; Radoslav Krehel; Martin Pollák; Marek Kočiško

The article observes the amount of vibration on the bearing house of a turning lathe selected in advance through the change of the revolutions per minute and the thickness of the removed material in frontal type of lathe processing. Increase in mechanical vibration values depending on the value of nominal thickness of splinter was observed during changing technological parameters of the drilling process as a consequence of rotation speed of the motor. The vibration acceleration amplitude course changes depending on the frequencies are evaluated together for 400, 800 and 1200 motor r/min. A piezoelectric sensor of the type 4507B-004 from the Brüel & Kjaer Company was used for monitoring the frequency analysis of the vibration, which was attached to the bearing house of the lathe TOS SV 18RB. The vibration signal measured during the processing and during the time period is transformed through the means of a quick Fourier transformation to the frequency spectrum in the range of 3.0–10.0 kHz. Measured values of vibration acceleration amplitude were processed and evaluated by the SignalExpress software. Graphical abstract Unwanted vibration in machine tools like lathe is one of the main problems as it affects the quality of the machined parts and tool life and creates noise during machining operation. Bearings are of paramount importance to almost all forms of rotating machinery and are the most common among machine elements. The article describes in more detail the issue of vibrations created when machining the material by lathe turning. It also includes execution, experiment evaluation in this field, and comparison of measured vibrations’ acceleration amplitude values according to the standards.

MONITORING INFLUENCE OF SELECTED PARAMETERS ON SURFACE QUALITY AFTER POLYMER POWDER COATING

Dusan Mital; Jozef Zajac; Zuzana Mitalova; Peter Michalik; Marek Kočiško

Presented article is aimed to powder coating and monitoring surface quality. Powder coating is considered as one layer surface treatment to protect against environment. Thickness of layer is several micrometers (depend on powder type) and meets high requirements and demand on surface protection against scratches, abrasion and other material specifications. Presented article is focused on experimental study of surface roughness influence on surface quality after polymer powder coating (surface roughness and coat thickness). Last part of article is aimed to statistical verify individual parameters by chi test.

Monitoring of the Influence of Moisture Content in Thermoplastic Granulate on Rheological Properties of Material

Jozef Dobránsky; Petr Baron; Marek Kočiško; Eva Vojnová

Present article deals with assessing the influence of moisture content in thermoplastic material on rheological properties of material. The measurements were carried out on samples of hygroscopic plastics, i.e. plastics that tend to absorb moisture from the surrounding environment. Moisture in plastic material before its processing can have negative influence on physical or thermal properties of a product and can devalue visual aspect of the end product, thus these plastics have to be dried before their processing. Observed samples of materials were placed in three different rooms and measurements of Melt Volume-Flow Rate of thermoplastics were carried out at precisely determined intervals. Moisture content in material was determined by Mettler Toledo HB43-S moisture analyzer. To determine the influence of moisture content on rheological properties of material, a method of determination of Melt Volume-Flow Rate (MVR) of thermoplastics was used. The measurements were performed by using Termo Haake Meltflow MT etxrusion plastometer.

Radoslav Krehel; Marek Kočiško; Tomas Vysocky; Andrea Cizikova; Patrik Szentivanyi

Using virtual reality nowadays not only includes applications in the entertainment industry as well as use in areas in which have not yet penetrated. Such area is the manufacturing process. Due to hardware that has been designed a priority for entertainment purposes can be realized serious simulation. Measurement of various parameters during the manufacturing process and after, helped by the creation of new working tools and also for their innovation. All values that are studied differ in based on the type of wear and also the basis for the selected device that examines wear it. Progress in terms of materials and production possibilities with new trends as in the measurement, as well as in examining and subsequent production of new tools

MONITORING DIAGNOSTIC INDICATORS DURING OPERATION OF A PRINT MACHINE

Jozef Dobránsky; Petr Baron; Marek Kočiško; Monika Teliskova

This article deals with monitoring diagnostic indicators during the operation of a machine used for production of packing materials with a print. It analyses low-frequency vibrations measured in individual spherical roller bearings in eight print positions. The rollers in these positions have a different pressure based on positioning these rollers in relation to the central roller. As a result, the article also deals with a correlation of pressure and level of measured low-frequency vibrations. The speed of the print machine (the speed of a line in meters per minute) is a very important variable during its operation, this is why it is important to verify the values of vibrations in various speeds of the line, what can lead to revelation of one or more resonance areas. Moreover, it examines vibrations of the central roller drive and measurement of backlash of transmission cogs of this drive. Based on performed analyses recommendations for an operator of the machine have been conceived.
