This research deals with the corrosion stability of components with a galvanized surface. The aim is to determine how corrosion resistance is influenced by chemical degreasing. The ZiNi galvanizing method in a bath line was performed on 10 components; another 10 pieces were treated by the same galvanizing method, but without previous chemical degreasing. After measuring the thickness of coating, components were inserted into a salt spray corrosion chamber. The test showed that components with a complete galvanizing process revealed no signs of red corrosion after 456 test hours. In components without chemical degreasing, there were signs of red corrosion after 200 test hours. After this research, we can conclude that chemical degreasing in galvanizing processes has a high influence on corrosion resistance.

Application of Six Sigma Methodology in Production Organization

Maroš Korenko; Peter Uhrin; Pavol Kaplík; Daniela Földešiová

In the last years and also due to todays economic situation and crises in the world, each organization is looking for a continuous improvement of processes and business performance. The major task of each production organization or services is the saving of money, which is lost because of scrap, long cycle times, wrong process maps and inventory differences. The goal of this article is to describe the implementation of Six Sigma in a production organization focusing on the production of interior parts for the automotive industry. During the summer time, there was delamination between thermoplastic foil and plastic substrate, which caused increasing of scrap, additional substandard works as well as the risk of quality complaints from customer. Six Sigma and DMAIC cycle were used to find root causes and to implement permanent corrective actions to remove this kind of problem from production.

SAFETY AUDIT IN HATCHING COMPANY

Marián Bujna; Miroslav Prístavka; Maroš Korenko; Milan Kadnár

A safety audit in a hatching company in order to improve the hatching quality and poultry breeding, poultry products and production by reducing risk factors and improving safety was performed. In the article is discussed the safety audit consisting of several parts such as an audit questionnaire and FMEA methods (analysis of causes and consequences of failures) where there are specified potential risks arising at work. These risks are evaluated, and corrective measures are defined to reduce the formation of potential risks. It examines the process of retraining employees on occupational safety and health, personal protective equipment and fire protection. To optimize the production, a compound feed production programme was designed.

Failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) was performed in RIBE Slovakia, k.s. (limited partnership) in Nitra, Slovakia. Analysis was done in the process of cold forming where potential errors (failures) were identified. Subsequently, there was assigned a mark in the FMEA form expressing severity, frequency and undetectability, and a risk priority number (RPN) was calculated. If the risk priority number (RPN) is too high, corrective measures are proposed and adopted in order for the risk to be minimized or completely eliminated.

Abstract The purpose of this study is to improve the technical and economic performance of the enhanced two-machine seeder based on the wheel-type tractor of traction class 1.4. Experimental research is based on the general provisions of the standard methodology for operational and technological evaluation of the operation of machine-tractor units in the field. Processing of results from experimental study was carried out by means of developed programs on a PC. Results obtained from field experiments testing the aggregate consisting of two-machine seeder of traction class 1.4, two SZ-3.6 seeders and a semi-mounted coupler indicate its high operational and technological efficiency in comparison to both single-machine and similar two-machine units as part of a conventional trailer hitch. Although it shows an increase in specific time losses at headland of up to 5%, due to the wider working width, utilization of a new two-machine unit on the basis of a semi-mounted coupling in comparison with a single-machine unit allows increasing the productivity of the work by 1.96 and reduction of fuel consumption by 20%. In order to ensure that two-machine unit will perform turning on headland in the optimal mode, it is necessary to equip it with a special automatic device that would change the speed of movement in compliance with the angular speed of tractor‘s steering wheels according to the developed algorithm.

BUJNA MARIAN, PRISTAVKA MIROSLAV, DOSTAL PETR, KORENKO MAROS, KADNAR MILAN. 2016. Infl uence of Roughness on Quality Molybdenum Deposit Layer by Thermal Spraying. Acta Universitatis Agriculturae et Silviculturae Mendelianae Brunensis, 64(1): 9–14. In this paper we deal with the impact of roughness on the quality of molybdenum layer. Insuffi cient cleaning may result in a poor quality of the sprayed layer. Our aim is to analyze the infl uence of surface roughness on the quality of molybdenum layer thickness applied by thermal spraying. Thermal spraying infl uence several physical and chemical properties of the coating surface. The most important ones include: hardness, density, porosity, corrosion resistance and adhesion. This

High Frequency Induction Tube Furnace for Determination of Ash Melting Temperature

T. Dróżdż; Paweł Kiełbasa; Maroš Korenko; P. Nawara; Krzysztof Pikul

Abstract The article describes the designed and manufactured tube furnace intended for, inter alia, determining the melting temperature of ash conforming to the standard of ISO-540:2001. The possibility of digital sample observation and several programs controlling the obtainable temperature enable to determine the test cycle in any case (convenient for the researcher). Reduction of testing time allows for the analysis of the observed phenomena, as well as more detailed research plan of samples, where substantial changes have been demonstrated.

Effect of Stochastics of Dimensional Parameters of Hauling Laminated Bushless Chain Elements of Improved Structure on Their Bearing Strength

Petro Kryvyi; Oleg Lyashuk; Petro Kryvins‘kyi; Maroš Korenko

Abstract The distribution densities of dimensional parameters of a hauling laminated bushless chain of improved structure were investigated in this paper. The authors suggest calculating the non-uniform load of internal and external links plates by probability coefcient Km, for which the minimum, the most probable and the maximum values were determined. The formula for Km determination depending on plate size variety due to a gap random value Δ and plate elastic deformation value under permitted payload was obtained. The efect of stochastics of dimensional parameters of hauling laminated bushless chain elements on their bearing strength is proved.

Reliability monitoring of grain harvester in operating conditions.

Miroslav Prístavka; Marián Bujna; Maroš Korenko

Reliability and quality are strongly linked between each other although people are often confused and consider these to be the same. Quality is defined as the ability to satisfy requirements that customers had determined or expected. If an organization manages to fulfill preconditions and requirements, it has a potential that customers will continue to use its products while buying new ones. Reliability can be named as an indicator expressing the probability that a product will perform the function it was made for and for a period specified in given operating conditions. In this work, we have focused on monitoring the specific parameters in two types of grain harvesters in operating conditions.

Statistical Process Control in Automotive Industry

Maroš Korenko; Pavol Kaplík; Marián Bujna; Miroslav Prístavka

Abstract Organisations active in the market, regardless of the sphere of action, must constantly face pressures from an uncompromising competition. Therefore, if organisations wish to be successful in the market and constantly move forward, they must draw attention to the quality of products in the market. Statistical process control is the implementation of such statistical methods through which the production process is regulated and controlled to ensure the production of the highest possible amount of products that comply with requirements imposed on them.
