Quality Control in Production Processes

Abstract The tools for quality management are used for quality improvement throughout the whole Europe and developed countries. Simple statistics are considered one of the most basic methods. The goal was to apply the simple statistical methods to practice and to solve problems by using them. Selected methods are used for processing the list of internal discrepancies within the organization, and for identification of the root cause of the problem and its appropriate solution. Seven basic quality tools are simple graphical tools, but very effective in solving problems related to quality. They are called essential because they are suitable for people with at least basic knowledge in statistics; therefore, they can be used to solve the vast majority of problems.

Risk Analysis of Production Process for Automotive and Electrical Engineering Industry using FMEA

Abstract A failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) is the most often used (and required by customers) tool for quality planning. The FMEA examines possible errors with their consequences for customers as well as their possible causes. This analysis can be realized on several levels (structure or process), and thus it may become a subject of various teams, from engineers of whole parts to those dealing with individual units, from workers preparing the manufacturing processes as a whole to those who prepare (or control or even perform) individual operations. The aim of this work is the analysis of risks using the FMEA for a selected production process and proposal of measures to eliminate risks.

Use of 8D Method to Solve Problems

If organizations want to be successful, they must quickly adapt to changing conditions in a competitive environment, must be flexible and must quickly resolve situations and problems occurring in organization. We use different tools and methods to solve these problems. One of these methods is Eight Disciplines Problem Solving (8D). The 8D method is a structured problem solving process. This method helps to correctly and timely solve problems. It is used when the cause of problem is unknown or when the solution to problem is beyond the capabilities of a single worker. This method is also used to improve products and processes

Evaluating The Effectiveness Of Production Process Using Pareto Analysis

Abstract The aim of this paper is to present the possibilities of using the Pareto method in evaluating the effectiveness of machine production processes. The paper deals with the production process of material cutting using progressive technology and subsequent evaluation of its effectiveness and quality. In the production process, we have used the method of material cutting by abrasive water jet. The Pareto analysis was used for eliminating the shortcomings in the quality of the final part.

SAFETY AUDIT IN HATCHING COMPANY

A safety audit in a hatching company in order to improve the hatching quality and poultry breeding, poultry products and production by reducing risk factors and improving safety was performed. In the article is discussed the safety audit consisting of several parts such as an audit questionnaire and FMEA methods (analysis of causes and consequences of failures) where there are specified potential risks arising at work. These risks are evaluated, and corrective measures are defined to reduce the formation of potential risks. It examines the process of retraining employees on occupational safety and health, personal protective equipment and fire protection. To optimize the production, a compound feed production programme was designed.

Influence of Machine Exploitation Effectiveness on Furniture Production Quality Level

Abstract One of the most important factors determining the company‘s capacity to produce high quality products is the level of machinery operation effectiveness. Companies having modern machinery are characterized by high productivity. To obtain a high quality product, the equipment should be properly used, without any failure, which contributes significantly to the exploitation level increase. The modernity level and the exploitation effectiveness level for chosen machine producing furniture components in relation to the product quality level were analysed in the paper. As a result of the research findings analysis, proposals for corrective actions with regard to machinery maintenance and production processes were presented.

Monitoring the Capability of Production Equipment in Organization

Abstract This work is focused on determining the capability of production equipment in Volkswagen Slovakia, a.s. during the moulding of a car door. There were taken 150 samples from the moulding process that followed each other. Values were recorded on a Wenzel RAplus 1625 measuring machine. Subsequently, process stability was verified. It showed that measured values had a stable average value, and the process did not show irregularities in the diagrams of the X card and s card. After verification of stability, the values of Cm and Cmk were calculated, which exceeded the minimum requirement of 1.66 and 1.67, and the requirements for the capability of production equipment have thereby been met.

Reliability monitoring of grain harvester in operating conditions.

Reliability and quality are strongly linked between each other although people are often confused and consider these to be the same. Quality is defined as the ability to satisfy requirements that customers had determined or expected. If an organization manages to fulfill preconditions and requirements, it has a potential that customers will continue to use its products while buying new ones. Reliability can be named as an indicator expressing the probability that a product will perform the function it was made for and for a period specified in given operating conditions. In this work, we have focused on monitoring the specific parameters in two types of grain harvesters in operating conditions.

Impact of Insufficient Cleaning on the Quality of Molybdenum Layer Applied by Thermal Spraying

Thermal spraying influences several physical and chemical properties of the coating surface. The most important of them are hardness, density, porosity, corrosion resistance and adhesion. This technology of surface treatment of material is often used for its high degree of hardness. Hardness and erosion resistance are the parameters that need to be achieved particularly in working conditions where there is excessive component wear. In this paper, we deal with the impact of purifying on the quality of molybdenum layer. Insufficient cleaning may result in a poor quality of the sprayed layer. Our aim is to measure and analyse the quality of molybdenum layer thickness applied by thermal spraying after insufficient cleaning.
