The measurement and development of anterior guidance

Shoji Kohno; Masanori Nakano

One hundred fifty patients with minimal 5-year history of bilateral and unilateral missing posterior teeth were clinically examined for occurrence, types, and location of TM J clicking. A higher incidence of TM J clicking was recorded in these patients in comparison with patient.s with posterior teeth. A combination of late opening and early closing clicking prevailed. The types of clicking were appreciably different in patients without posterior teeth.
