We describe an information-oriented, computational physical theory based on expressing knowledge of the world via patterns of synchronization. The systems this theory describes are self-organizing, display emergent phenomena, and can be expressed in terms both of Clifford algebras and algebraic topology, and practical running programs.

An example is outlined for constructing a discrete physics using as a starting point the insight from quantum physics that events are discrete, indivisible and non-local. Initial postulates are finiteness, discreteness, finite computability, absolute nonuniqueness (i.e., homogeneity in the absence of specific cause) and additivity.
