Some common fixed point theorems satisfying certain rational expressions are proved in complex valued metric spaces which generalize fixed point theorems due to Azam et al., Imdad et al. and others. Some related results are also derived besides furnishing illustrative examples to highlight the realized improvements.

In this paper, we prove some common fixed point theorems for weakly compatible mappings in metric spaces satisfying generalized (ψ,φ)-contractive conditions under the common limit range property. We present a fixed point theorem for four finite families of self-mappings which can be utilized to derive common fixed point theorems involving any number of finite mappings. Our results improve and extend the corresponding results of Radenović et al. (Bull. Iranian Math. Soc. 38(3):625–645, 2012). We also furnish some illustrative examples to support our main results.

Abstract Using suitable conditions of weak commutativity, we prove theorems for a pair of nonself mappings which generalize earlier results due to Rhoades and Assad et al. Some illustrative examples and applications are also discussed.

We observe that the notion of common property (E.A.) relaxes the required containment of range of one mapping into the range of other which is utilized to construct the sequence of joint iterates. As a consequence, a multitude of recent fixed point theorems of the existing literature are sharpened and enriched.

Employing the common property (E.A), we prove some common fixed point theorems for weakly compatible mappings via an implicit relation in Menger PM spaces. Some results on similar lines satisfying quasicontraction condition as well as -type contraction condition are also proved in Menger PM spaces. Our results substantially improve the corresponding theorems contained in (Branciari, (2002); Rhoades, (2003); Vijayaraju et al., (2005)) and also some others in Menger as well as metric spaces. Some related results are also derived besides furnishing illustrative examples.

A metrical common fixed point theorem for a pair of self mappings due to Sastry and Murthy (K.P.R. Sastry, I.S.R. Krishna Murthy, A common fixed points of two partially commuting tangential selfmaps on a metric space, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 250 (2000) 731734.) [8] is extended to symmetric spaces which in turn generalises a fixed point theorem due to Pant (R.P. Pant, Common fixed points of Lipschitz type mapping pairs, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 248 (1999) 280283.) [11] besides deriving some related results. Some illustrative examples to highlight the realised improvements are also furnished.

We prove some n-tupled coincidence point results whenever n is even. We give here several new definitions like n-tupled fixed point, n-tupled coincidence point, and so forth. The main result is supported with the aid of an illustrative example.

AbstractIn this article, we prove some existence and uniqueness results on coincidence points for g-increasing mappings satisfying generalized φ-contractivity conditions in ordered metric spaces. As an application of one of our newly proved results, we indicate the formulation of a coupled coincidence theorem. Our results generalize, extend, modify, improve, sharpen, enrich, and complement several well-known results of the existing literature. Also, we point out that a recent coincidence point result proved in Dalal et al. (J. Adv. Math. 7(1):1084-1094, 2014) contains errors and omissions. MSC:47H10, 54H25.

The purpose of this paper is to emphasize the role of “common limit range property” to ascertain the existence of common fixed point in metric spaces satisfying an implicit function essentially due to the paper of Ali and Imdad (2008). As an application to our main result, we derive a fixed point theorem for four finite families of self-mappings which can be utilized to derive common fixed point theorems involving any finite number of mappings. Our results improve and extend a host of previously known results including the ones contained in the paper of Ali and Imdad (2008). We also furnish some illustrative examples to support our main results.

In this article, we utilize the notions of the property (E.A.) and common property (E.A.) in the setting of modified intuitionistic fuzzy metric spaces to prove a result interrelating the property (E.A.) with common property (E.A.). Also using the common property (E.A.), we prove some common fixed point theorems in modified intuition-istic fuzzy metric spaces satisfying an implicit relation. Some related results are also derived besides furnishing an illustrative example.AMS Subject Classification (2000): Primary 54H 25; Secondary 47H 10.
