Violence is the biggest obstacle for living as a respectable, dignity, equal and free individual and for self-actualization of a child. Children learn to show aggression when, how and against whom. Knowledge is transmitted from parents to children as well as children learn it from peer groups and the mass media. It has become a cycle of violence in this way. In studies on this issue, it was determined that interventions for families (counseling and therapy interventions, crisis and outreach interventions, parenting interventions, and multicomponent interventions) provide developments in behavior problems in children, the level of information related security, anger and violence, selfesteem, conflict management, the psychological distress in families, empathy in parent-child interactions, parenting skills and psychological functioning.

OBJECTIVES: The objective of this study was answer to the question: to what extent are the anger of the caregivers of patients diagnosed with schizophrenia and their perceived level of burden are related? METHOD: The study is a descriptive and correlational study. The information form prepared by the researchers which questions the socio‐demographic information of the individuals along with the “Caregiving Burden Inventory” which examines the burden of the caregiver as well as “Trait Anger and Anger Expression Style Scale (TAAES)” which determines the anger levels of the caregivers were used. RESULTS: The caregiving burdens of the caregivers according to the score averages were determined as 11.88 ± 9.78 for time and dependency burden, 11.93 ± 8.46 for developmental burden, 8.47 ± 6.63 for physical burden, 5.61 ± 5.26 for social burden, 6.29 ± 5.25 for emotional burden and the total burden score was determined as 44.19 ± 26.75. According to the trait anger and anger expression style scale score averages; trait anger was determined as 15.12 ± 5.95, anger expression as 9.70 ± 3.43, anger‐in as 15.22 ± 4.02, anger control as 28.05 ± 5.57 and anger total score average as 68.11 ± 9.97. CONCLUSION: According to the results obtained from this study, caregivers of schizophrenia patients experience developmental, physical, social and emotional burdens in addition to trait anger. The caregivers of schizophrenia patients need knowledge and support in order to control the burden and the anger they experience during the caregiving process. HIGHLIGHTSIt found that caregiving burden and anger are correlated.Individuals who provide care to schizophrenic patients experience continuous anger in addition to their developmental, physical, social and emotional burden. It was determined that caregivers who were single, male, had been providing care for 1–5 years and literate had higher levels of continuous anger.

Introduction And Objective: Depression is the most common disease of our century which is a very serious individual and social mental disease due to its recurrence and chronicity rate, significant suicidal risk and its creating failure. The influences of exercise has been examined in several studies. This research is conducted in order to examine the influence of exercise on the depression level of adolescents. Method: This is a control group study with a pretest posttest design in which the adolescents perform regular exercises. The study is conducted with 40 high school senior students - 20 initiative and 20 control group subjects - who are studying in a high school in Antalya city. The initiative group is taken into a weekly ?5 day 50 minute? exercise program for 10 weeks. Beck depression scale is applied on the participants before ( week 0) and after (at the end of week 10) the exercise program. For the evaluation of the data, chi square, Mann Whitney U and Wilcoxon tests are utilized. Findings: The age average of the participant students is 17.04±1.17; also it is detected that 57% of them are female students and 24.2% of them are slightly overweight. While the depression level score average of the initiative group before the exercise program is 22.12±3.42, this score decreases to 15.32±2.47 after the program and this difference is found to be statistically significant (p 0.05).Conclusion: According to the results obtained, it is seen that the 10 week exercise program which is applied on the initiative group is influential on decreasing the depression level score averages of the adolescents. These findings might be a base for encouraging the students towards regular exercise to be able to have a better mental health.
