A Novel Spectral Matching LED Lighting Source for Plant

This paper deals with the spectral matching optimization by a group of narrowband high power LEDs to achieve the target spectrum required by plant growing, the correlation index is a key evaluation criteria, higher value of which is often difficult to achieve because of the poor performance of spectral matching algorithm. The bat algorithm is proposed as a spectral matching algorithm. Parameters of bat algorithm under high correlation index are selected by observing the parameter variation tendency in the spectral matching simulation. In the experimental verification, 2 kinds of control circuit are used to match the target spectrum. Experimental results shows that appropriate parameter groups of bat algorithm must select based on their relationship with the correlation index. In practical experiment, the optimal correlation index is 0.70±0.05 under conditions of 3 selected bat algorithm parameter groups. It is of significance to plant lighting in the engineering practice exploratory.

Simulation of the TPIF collection efficiency and the improvement of the collection device

Two-photon induced fluorescence (TPIF) is the most common method to measure the TPA cross-section, this method has advantages of high detection sensitivity based on fluorescence measurement, and also can eliminate the influences of other nonlinear beam propagation effects. However, this method requires the assumption that the fluorescence collection efficiency is equal in every measurement, this is hardly impossible for conventional setup. In this paper, the physical model of the fluorescence collecting system is established based on the experimental setup of TPIF. The simulation results indicate that the traditional fluorescence collecting device brings some unavoidable errors because of the collection coefficients are different in different times. Against to the drawback of the conventional fluorescence collection device, an improved recommendation which uses integrating sphere is presented. The analysis shows that the measurement accuracy of the two-photo absorption cross-section can be improved as the collection coefficients are same in different times.

A design of low cost illuminometer with multiple functions

This paper designed a novel illuminometer with low price and multiple functions compared with most commercial illuminometer. In addition to illumination measurement, the meter can also measure temperature and humidity used for measuring its working environment, even conduct wireless communication each other. The meter circuit design was provided, such as interface of light sensor to microcontroller respectively. A data Tx/Rx method of communication unit using its nIRQ pin was presented, which do Tx/Rx according to content of status register in interrupt service routine. Program flow char of driving digitrons to do dynamic display was presented. Finally, measurement result comparison was done with two commercial illumination meter.
