Abstract The correlation between insurance and economic growth has been analyzed by many authors at the international level, thus there are a lot of studies seeking to assess the causal relation between macroeconomic performance and the size of the insurance sector. The insurance becomes a major component in certain economies, consequently the weight of insurance to the GDP of every country being over 10% in some European countries (such as the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Finland), and it is even higher as the economic development is higher. We can say that the percentage in GDP of a country is the measure of the development of that respective state. The purpose of this paper is to establish the correlation between insurance and economic growth in Romania, by taking into consideration the share of gross premium written to GDP (insurance penetration), and the average value of the insurance premium paid by an inhabitant across one year (insurance density), as insurance indicators. The methodology of our research employs statistical methods concerning the analysis between the GDP and insurance indicators. The results obtained will be compared with those obtained on other markets.

Abstract Carry out this research has as a starting point the idea economic specialists according to which the sum of the values added as grown from inside the country, on a sector, an economic branch or on areas of activity reflect/appends gross domestic product created by the work carried out within the country concerned, in the sector of economic or branch of the scope of the activity. So, starting from how to determine the gross value added at the level of enterprises, namely the additive method, I watched the correlation between the components of value added and gross domestic product. The correlation itself is important idea that provides information on the factors that influence the gross domestic product starting from the structure gross value added. Thus at the end of the paper we can draw some important conclusions about how the rate of remuneration of employees, depreciation regime, fiscal policy, the rate of remuneration of investors and financing policy of the firm affects GDP.

Abstract The economic-financial crisis affected also Romania, which after years of growth, is now in difficulty. Thus, in March 2009, the country takes a loan of almost 20 billion euro. Moreover, in May 2010, a 25% decrease in the salaries of the civil servants and a 15% decrease in pensions and unemployment allowances were decided. With the economic-financial crisis affecting the economies, the need for the best employees will remain the key issue for a long time to come. The main question of this research is “How can higher education and business environment come together in order to create better trained employees according to the demands of the current work market and taking into consideration the context of the economic financial crisis?” In order to answer to this research question, we developed some hypotheses, which will be tested on a sample made of the students in Management of the University of Craiova, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration. The data will be analyzed making use of the statistical functions: descriptive statistics and factor analysis. Based on the results of this study, we will come up with strategies, which will have a further contribution to the stimulation of the economy.
