This paper explores the ethical issues in information communication technology (ICT) in Malaysian primary schools. Among ethical issues that have been identified are cyber crime, cyber bullying, internet fraud, hacking and others. However, cyber bullying are the major ethical issues in Malaysian primary schools. In this study, quantitative methodology has been chosen by distributing questionnaire among the respondents. The results indicate that the respondents understand the ethical issues and the use of ICT. The authors encourage further researches to investigate thus developing modules for teaching ethical issues in ICT in primary schools.

The issue of sustainability is a global concern. There is a lack of knowledge about the perception towards the green concept and going green in Malaysia especially in the event management field of study. This study investigates the effect of values, beliefs and norms towards the perception of sustainable efforts towards event greening from event attendees’ point of view in the event management context. The objectives of this study are to determine the level of values, beliefs and norms that affect the perception of sustainable efforts towards event greening; to establish that event attendees’ values influence their perception on sustainable efforts towards event greening; to measure the mediation effect of beliefs in the relationship between values and perception on sustainable efforts towards event greening; to measure the mediation effect of norms in the relationship between values and perception on sustainable efforts towards event greening; to identify that cost is a concern to implement sustainable efforts towards event greening and to identify the reasons that event organizers are not keen to implement sustainable efforts towards event greening. Building from the perspective of event management, Value-Belief-Norm Theory, Theory of Planned Behaviour and Reflexive Theory of Perception; a conceptual model is developed and the hypotheses are drawn to show the interrelationship between these constructs. The partial least square (PLS) statistical approach has been conducted to test the research hypotheses. The analysis indicated that, there is a full mediating effect of Beliefs and Norms towards the relationship between Values and Perception.

Tremendous development in Malaysian industries shows an alarming number of occupational injuries, illnesses, and fatalities. Statistics from Malaysian labor shows many ages of the group are active in the total workforce. However, young (18–23 old) and aging workforce (50–60 old) found to be the highest numbers of occupational injuries. The OSH Act 1994 enacted to protect workers, and it is stipulated that safety and health training is uncompromised. Safety and health training is designed as “one,” and hence the gap of learning performance and cognitive abilities is unfolding for both of the groups in the safety and health training design. This paper sought to determine the relative effectiveness of different achievements in learning applied to a different method of occupational safety and health (OSH) training between aging and young workforce. Methods of this study employed a meta-analytical analysis on 50 quasi-experimental and experimental studies. Two groups of workers which are young and aging workforce participating in safety training were the main criteria of search in meta-analysis for the purpose of finding were illustrated on the basis of learner’s participation in the training process. Studies investigated show that as the training could provide better safety and health knowledge acquisition and decline numbers on injuries, illnesses, and accidents reported. However, the effectiveness of training may differ, especially for both major groups which are young and aging workforce. In a nutshell, OSH training involves in behavioral modeling, and the present findings on young workforce move toward passive computer-based learning and is influenced by psychological and attitude toward learning while the aging workers move toward traditional types of training and ineffectiveness of safety training were only due to their physiological capabilities.

Despite the advances in technology and increase of internet usage which provide numerous benefits to mankind, little is known about the problems and related issues such as the ethical issues and behavior of using the internet. Hence, it is crucial for researchers to study on the ethical issues relating to the use of information and communication technologies (ICT). This paper extends prior researches by investigating and exploring the use of ICT and ethical issues in Malaysian primary school. This study relates with four ICT issues proposed by Mason: privacy, accuracy, property and accessibility (known as the PAPA model). In this study, the quantitative methodology has been adopted by distributing questionnaires among students. The results indicated that the students are able to comprehend the ethical issues in the use of ICT.
