Research on orotron oscillator with dispersive open resonant system

Oleg I. Belous; Anatoliy I. Fisun; Anatoliy A. Kirilenko; Viktor K. Korneenkov; Vladimir S. Miroshnichenko

Theoretical and experimental results of an investigation into a new resonant system have been obtained. This system is named the sphere-corner-echelette open resonator (SCEOR) due to the employment of a mirror that was formed by two echelettes at the angles of 45° to the resonator axis. It turns ont that this resonator is excited on the specific modes not unique to others oscillating systems. There are presented the results of the experimental research of the orotron oscillator with the SCEOR. The spectrum of this device contains only the fundamental modes such as theT E M006,T E M007,T E M008. The efficiency of the orotron is improved, when all other factors are the same the orotron with a much used sphere-cylindrical open resonator.

Millimeter Wave Power Combiner Based on a Half-Open Resonator

A. V. Arkhipov; Oleg I. Belous; B. M. Bulgakov; Anatoliy I. Fisun

Experimental investigations of quasi-optical power combiner based on a half-open resonator are described. Power and frequency characteristics have been studied for one or three diodes. It is shown that the positioning of the diodes is preferred over the center of the field spot along a resonator axis.

Frequency stabilization of MM-wave solid-state oscillators. Resonant systems

A.V. Arkchipov; Oleg I. Belous; Anatoly Ivanovich Fisun; B.M. Bulgakov; M.S. Boltovets

The essential feature required by oscillator systems for the frequency stabilization of solid-state sources in the short-wave part of the MM-wave band is formulated. A small-size quasi-optical corner-echelette open resonator (OR) is proposed for this purpose. The 2D model analysis method is described and results of an experimental study of the features of the OR are presented. It is recommended that these ORs be used in oscillators in the 50-150 GHz frequency band.

Millimeter wave quasi-optical power combiner

A.V. Archipov; Oleg I. Belous; B. M. Bulgakov

The results of an experimental research of the power combiner based on the half-open resonator (HOR) are presented in this work. The HOR represents half of the usual spherical OR, which is cut by a conducting plane along OZ axis. Therefore, the modes are excited on this, which does not contradict boundary conditions on a conducting plane of the HOR.

One-Circuit Stabilization of Millimeter-Wave Solid-State Oscillator by Quasi-Optical Resonator

Oleg I. Belous; Anatoliy I. Fisun; Ivan P. Olchovskiy; Svetlana P. Sirenko

The construction and operating characteristics of the highly stabilized millimeter wave IMPATT oscillator are described. The frequency stability is 8.1 × 10-7 at 115 GHz. The output power is no less than 15 mW. The sphere-corner-echelette open resonator have been used for oscillator stabilization. This approach is also adaptable to the Gunn oscillator.

Raisa I. Belous; Oleg I. Belous; Yurii G. Makeev; Alexander P. Motornenko

The method of the solution problem on the eigen oscillations spectrum of electromagnetic field in the waveguide-dielectric resonator with the two-layer dielectric element was presented. The numerical calculations of the resonance frequencies for theHE111-,E011- andH011-oscillations types in the investigated structure were performed. The calculation results were correlated with experimental data.

Concave diffraction grating for whispering-gallery mode selection

Oleg I. Belous; Anatoly Ivanovich Fisun; V.L. Pasynin; S. P. Sirenko; O. N. Sukhoruchko

Using simulation in the FDTD technique it was demonstrated that the strip-like diffraction gratings are the promising candidate for whispering-gallery mode selection. The essence of the selection process is as follows: The incident wave is transformed to the surface one by a strip-like diffraction grating at the dielectric substrate if the condition λ / 2 = P is fulfilled. If the diffraction grating applies to the lateral surface of the dielectric resonator, the direction of the surface wave is coincident with the propagation direction of the whispering-gallery mode. If geometrical dimentions of the grating and resonator are chosen in such a way that the integer number of half waves n fits the lateral surface of the resonator, the surface wave serves to excite the whispering-gallery mode with azimuthal number n. The other waves go off into outer space.

Separate Action of E- and H-Components of Electromagnetic Field at the Buccal Epithelium Cells

S. P. Sirenko; N. N. Grigoreva; Anatoly Ivanovich Fisun; Oleg I. Belous

Influence of E-and H-components of electromagnetic field in human cells has been investigated. It is determined, that the H-component influence is more efficient. It is suggested that the revolved oscillation component (rotation spectrum) is varied for the ions, involving in the cellular processes

The influence of water activated with electromagnetic irradiation on Drosophila Melanogaster

N.N. Grigoryeva; L.M. Chepel; V.G. Shakhbazov; S. P. Sirenko; Anatoly Ivanovich Fisun; Oleg I. Belous

The influence of water, activated by EHF radiation and melt water on the imago steady-state of the Drosophila Melanogaster and its posterity have been investigated. The reaction of the Drosophila relative to starvation is received in the tap water and melt water. It is concluded that the reaction of the object under study in normal condition as well as in activated condition depends upon water structure. It testifies that water structure plays important role in mechanism of electromagnetic energy absorption
