Este estudo objetiva refletir acerca da consulta coletiva de crescimento e desenvolvimento da crianca, a partir da aplicacao da teoria da relacao interpessoal de Hildegard Peplau, a qual tem como ponto central o processo interpessoal entre o enfermeiro e o paciente. Foram tecidas reflexoes acerca da relacao existente entre as fases propostas pela teoria e os momentos da realizacao das consultas coletivas de acompanhamento do crescimento e desenvolvimento da crianca. Por meio do estabelecimento da relacao interpessoal, enfermeiro e familiar/cuidador aprendem a trabalhar conjuntamente, para resolver as dificuldades inerentes ao processo de cuidado da crianca. Diante dessa realidade, pode-se concluir que atraves da relacao interpessoal que e estabelecida nas consultas coletivas de acompanhamento do crescimento e desenvolvimento infantil, ha uma aproximacao entre a equipe profissional e os sujeitos envolvidos no processo, tornando-se, estes sujeitos, emponderados de saberes e capazes de promover a crianca um cuidado integral.This study aims to reflect about the collective consultation of growth and development of the child from the application of the interpersonal relationship theory of Hildegard Peplau, which has as its centerpiece the interpersonal process between nurse and patient. Reflections about the existing relationship between the phases proposed by the theory and the moments of realization of the accompaniment of collective consultations, of the growth and development of the child were woven. Through the establishment of interpersonal relationship, nurses and family/caregiver, learn to work together to resolve the difficulties inherent in the child care process. Given this reality, it can be concluded that through interpersonal relationship, that is established in the accompaniment of collective consultations of child growth and development, there is an approximation between the professional team and those involved in the process, becoming, these subjects, empowered of knowledge and able to promote a full care to the child.

Background: Child´s Growth and Collective Development Monitoring is a practice that involves low-cost and high-efficiency technologies, based on the prerogative of health promotion. This study aims to describe the mothers´ perception about the collective monitoring of child growth and development. Method: This is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach, carried out with 13 mothers, through semi-structured interviews and participant observation. Data analysis was the technique of content analysis proposed by Bardin. Results: From the data analysis, two categories emerged: “The exchange of experiences and the autonomy of the subjects from the health promotion model”, where it was identified that the collective monitoring of child growth and development is a time favoring the approach between professionals and patients by motivating family participation by the emphasis on health promotion actions; and “The ability to recognize the reality and identify the difficulties” that indicated the change in care practice by professionals as a difficult task, but of great importance for health care. Conclusion: The mothers´ perception about the collective monitoring is directed at the health promotion model, being observed greater involvement among the participants in the consultations, bond, and autonomy.

Objective: report on the experience of implementing a proposal collective action from the Nursing for monitoring the Growth and Development (GD) Method: It is a descriptive study, typified as experience report, on the implementation of a proposal of collective action from Nursing for the collective monitoring of GD of children attended in the Family Health Unit of the neighbourhood of Cidade Nova (USFCN) in the city of Natal/RN, Brazil, being done through monthly meetings with parents / caregivers and children according to the area covered by the service. This study was approved by the Ethic Research Committee of the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (CEP-UFRN), and with the final opinion no 201/2009. Results: the work process of nurses experienced gains in pursuit of an educational practice and transforming the community. Parents and caregivers have access to learning new knowledge, exchange of experiences and assistance in home care through a new dynamic to make the health care of the child. Conclusion: the results show that parents / caregivers have become co-participants in the process of caring professional nurses, but without release the professionals of the commitment in the provision of care.
