The relationship between corporate social responsibility (CSR) and corporate financial performance (CFP) has become one of the most controversial topic in Chinese management studies. However, there is no agreeable conclusion about this issue in spite of many relative published papers. This article aims to find out the truth of CSR and CFP relationship and examine whether extant studies are reliable without publication bias. The meta-analysis including 34 Chinese empirical research papers shows that the two are positively correlated. Publication bias tests using multiple methods such as funnel plot, Beggs rank and Eggers regression method, fail-safe N etc. , indicate that the conclusion is valid without obvious publication bias. Thus the argument that the relationship between CSR and CFP is positive proves to be not only objective but also universal. That is to say, CSR also pays off in the Chinese context.

Recently the call for developing sustainable real estate market has fostered the idea of taking into consideration the ecological and social benefits. The paper presents a formula that reckons Eco-social Index, which holds a comprehensive view of evaluating sustainable real estate development. Ecological benefits are evaluated in the framework of LEED, which is illustrated in five aspects such as the Sustainable Sites, Water Efficiency, Energy and Atmosphere, Materials and resource, and Indoor Environmental Quality. Social benefits take five dimensions into consideration including physiological needs, safety needs, belongingness needs, esteem needs and self-actualization needs. The Eco-social Index is examined by how many ecological and social benefits a buyer can earn when he or she pays for a unit of total economic expense. The paper uses multi-disciplinary analysis including economics, sociology, psychology, ecology, and mathematics. It is expected to provide a practical evaluation way for the potential buyers to make wise purchase decisions in the residential real estate market. The paper aims to lead the real estate market to a sustainable development way.

New SMEs which are on their ways to prosper are well supported by the policy. E-commerce provides Chinese SMEs great opportunities that are worthwhile to be seized. The first opportunity is the great boom of network users. The attitude towards online shopping has been transformed overall, consequently enlarges the consumer base. Secondly, the development of online shopping platforms facilitates B2C business for SMEs as well. Finally, the diverse needs that are not satisfied by the traditional channel can be also utilized. Certain threats put barriers to the road of B2C for SMEs that they are going to be confronted. Network security and legal system deficiency are the main concern those SMEs are dealing with. Three trends are gradually revealing: More SMEs are joining the industry and competition is increasingly intensified; some enterprises are seeking for identity and begin to set up own corporate portal instead of utilizing platforms; Niche products take advantage of network and show great potential.
