Probability of color rearrangement at partonic level in hadronic W+W− decays

Zong-Guo Si; Qun Wang; Qu-bing Xie

Abstract A strict method to calculate the color rearrangement probability at partonic level in hadronic W + W − decays is proposed. The color effective Hamiltonian H c is constructed from invariant amplitude for the process e + e − → W + W − → q 1 q 2 q 3 q 4 + ng ( n = 0, 1, 2, …) and is used to calculate the cross sections of various color singlets and the color rearrangement probability. The true meaning of the color rearrangement is clarified and its difference from color interference is discussed.

QCD argument on color flow model

Qun Wang; Qu-bing Xie; Zong-Guo Si

Abstract The true meaning of the color flow model (CFM) is elucidated in a strict PQCD formulation, where the model is shown to be only an approximation in describing the exact color structure of the multigluon system.

An investigation of hadronization mechanism at a Z 0 factory

Y. Jin; Zongguo Si; Qu-bing Xie; Tao Yao

We briefly review the hadronization pictures adopted in the LUND String Fragmentation Model (LSFM), Webber Cluster Fragmentation Model (WCFM) and Quark Combination Model (QCM), respectively. Predictions of hadron multiplicity, baryon to meson ratios and baryon-antibaryon flavor correlations, especially those related to heavy hadrons at a Z0 factory obtained by LSFM and QCM, are reported.

We calculate the partial width and the momentum distribution of the produced J / Ψ in this channel. The obtained width is comparable to the experimental data. The momentum distribution is fairly soft, which is in contrast to the results from the colour-octet processes discussed earlier in literature but is consistent with the CLEO measurements. Further experiments to check this contribution are suggested.
