Abstract Three species ratio dependent food chain model is considered. To study the global dynamic behavior of the resulting nonlinear coupled system, it is solved numerically for large values of time. The biological parameters are varied to investigate the irregularity in the patterns and existence of chaos. The chaotic attractor is obtained for suitable choice of parametric values.

Abstract The effect of seasonality on the prey–predator model with predator-dependent trophic function is investigated analytically as well as numerically. The effect of periodic variations is considered on two different parameters of the system: the growth rate of prey and the death rate of the predators. The two parameters may not be in the same phase. The behavior of the system is simulated and bifurcation diagrams are obtained for different parameters. The results show that seasonality in two different parameters with or without phase difference can give rise to multiple attractors, including chaos, with variations in critical parameters.

This paper treats the dynamical behavior of eco-epidemiological model with nonlinear incidence rate. A Holling type II prey-predator model with SI-type of disease in prey has been proposed and analyzed. The existence, uniqueness, and boundedness of the solution of the system are studied. The local and global dynamical behaviors are investigated. The conditions, which guarantee the occurring of Hopf bifurcation of the system, are established. Finally, further investigations for the global dynamics of the proposed system are carried out with the help of numerical simulations.

In this chapter, a three-species model of Leslie–Gower predator–prey food chain model with Sokol–Howell functional response is proposed. The boundedness of the solution of the model is discussed. Local and global stability analyses of the system are carried out. The dynamics of the predator–prey food chain model with Sokol–Howell functional response is investigated theoretically as well as numerically.

An epidemic model that describes the dynamics of the spread of infectious diseases is proposed. Two different types of infectious diseases that spread through both horizontal and vertical transmission in the host population are considered. The basic reproduction number is determined. The local and the global stability of all possible equilibrium points are achieved. The local bifurcation analysis and Hopf bifurcation analysis for the four-dimensional epidemic model are studied. Numerical simulations are used to confirm our obtained analytical results.
