Rapid progress in digital data acquisition tech-niques have led to huge volume of data. More than 80 percent of today’s data is composed of unstructured or semi-structured data. The discovery of appropriate patterns and trends to analyze the text documents from massive volume of data is a big issue. Text mining is a process of extracting interesting and non-trivial patterns from huge amount of text documents. There exist different techniques and tools to mine the text and discover valuable information for future prediction and decision making process. The selection of right and appropriate text mining technique helps to enhance the speed and decreases the time and effort required to extract valuable information. This paper briefly discuss and analyze the text mining techniques and their applications in diverse fields of life. Moreover, the issues in the field of text mining that affect the accuracy and relevance of results are identified.

BACKGROUNDnDengue fever is viral disease which spreads due to the bite of the Aedes aegypti mosquito. In recent years, it has affected around 40% population of the world. Its endemic flow has led to a large disease burden, in terms of human and financial resources.nnnMETHODSnGeographical Information Systems (GIS) are normally used to develop epidemiological thematic maps. This study explores the patterns and hotspots, associated with the catastrophic outbreak of dengue, in Punjab, in 2011. The ArcView software was used to analyze the data reported by the district hospitals of Punjab. Twenty-one-thousand cases were reported from March to December 2011, with 300 causalities.nnnRESULTS AND CONCLUSIONnThis research reveals that from among the total 37 epidemiological weeks, the maximum impact was observed between weeks 22 and 27. The geographical flow and hotspots associated with dengue have been shown through thematic maps. A positive correlation between the risk for dengue and age was observed. The findings of this research can help health officials and decision-makers alert the public about future outbreaks and take preventive measures to considerably reduce the mortality and morbidity associated with the disease.

The last decade has shown tremendous growthndata production from different sectors, e.g., biology, financialnmarkets, scientific computing, business processes, Internet ofnThings. The “Data is New Oil” has become a proverb in academicnand corporate circles. Accordingly, tracing, recording origin andnderiving data called data provenance has gained tremendousntraction across board. Privacy and security of data are majornchallenges to provenance management. This can be tackled usingnwatermarking. The downside of majority of existing watermarkingntechniques is data distortion. In this work, we purpose a novelnapproach called package watermarking that addresses the datancapacity, usability, robustness, security, distortion, verifiability, nand detectability issues in data provenance.

The rapid growth in size of data sets poses chal-lenge to extract and analyze information in timely manner for better prediction and decision making. Data warehouse is the solution for strategic decision making. Data warehouse serves as a repository to store historical and current data. Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL) process gather data from different sources and integrate it into data warehouse. This paper proposes a multi-agent framework that enhance the efficiency of ETL process. Agents perform specific task assigned to them. The identification of errors at different stages of ETL process become easy. This was difficult and time consuming in traditional ETL process. Multi-agent framework identify data sources, extract, integrate, transform, and load data into data warehouse. A monitoring agent remains active during this process and generate alerts if there is issue at any stage.

The term data is new oil which has become a proverb due to large amount of data generation from various sources. Processing and storing such tremendous amount of datanis beyond the capabilities of traditional computing system. Cloud computing preferably considered next-generation architecture due to dynamic resource pools, low cost, reliability, virtualization, and high availability. In cloud computing, one important issue is to track and record the origin of data objects which is known as data provenance. Major challenges to provenance management in distributed environment are privacy and security. This paper presents data provenance management for cloud computing using watermarking technique. The experiment is performed by using both visible and hidden watermarks on shared data objects stored in cloud computing environment. The experimental results demonstrate the efficiency and reliability of proposed technique.

Routing is difficult in enterprise networks becausena packet might have to traverse many intermediary nodes tonreach the final destination. The selection of an appropriate routingnprotocol for a large network is difficult task. The focus of thisnwork is to select and identify the best routing technique forna computer network. In this study, the performance of OSPFnand EIGRP routing protocols with respect to CPU utilizationnis analyzed using OPNET simulator. The results depict EIGRPnacquires redundant information which effect CPU utilization.

Debate on big data analytics has earned a remarkable interest in industry as well as academia due to knowledge, information and wisdom extraction from big data. Big data and cloud computing are two most important trends that are defining the new emerging analytical tools. Big data has various applications in different fields like traffic control, weather forecasting, fraud detection, security, education enhancement and health care. Extraction of knowledge from large amount of data has become a challenging task. Similarly, big data analysis can be used for effective decision making in healthcare by some modification in existing machine learning algorithms. In this paper, rawbacks of existing machine learning algorithms are summarized for big data analysis in healthcare.

Bluetooth based networking is an emerging andnpromising technology that takes small area networking to an enhancednand better level of communication. Bluetooth specificationnsupports piconet formation. However, scatternet formation remainsnopen. The primary challenge faced for scatternet formationnis the interconnection of piconets. This paper presents a reviewnof the proposed approaches and the problems confronted for establishingnscatternet for ad hoc networks specifically MANET. Innthis work, a comparison of the Blue layer algorithm with MMPIninterface based algorithm on Bluetooth scatternet formation. Thenenhancement in the developed MMPI framework makes it a goodnoption for scatternet applications.

Modern information technology (IT) methods are reshaping the global market with great success. With todays global software industry, IT has made innovations everywhere, including businesses and consumer practices. This has made developing countries like India and China participate in the global market. This communication focuses on intelligent interacting systems which are present over globe and these are a source of rising the software development cycle with the help of modern communication facilities. Free e-Market globalization is now vital for billions of people. However, IT leadership is not possible without a review of the existing system. The present study is based over the issue of the global market related research, education and investment in IT technology. IT-based-leadership can give sustainable global competitive advantage to our country. So the role of iterative software development is crucial to be targeted in a systematic fashion.
