A comparison of hyperspectral data and worldview-2 images to detect impervious surface

Ebrahim Taherzadeh; Helmi Zulhaidi Mohd Shafri; Shattri Mansor; Ravshan Ashurov

Detection and mapping the impervious surface accurately is one of the important tasks in urban remote sensing. In this study, airborne hyperspectral data and Worldview-2 image were used to classify urban area .The main goal of this study are to compare the hyperspectral data and worldview 2 images and shows the potential of worldview 2 images for detection the impervious surface from the same area. Support vector machine was used as the classification method in both images. The result shows that the hyperspectral data is more accurate for detection of the materials in urban area especially roof type. The overall accuracy is 78% with 0.72 Kappa coefficients but on the other hand the overall accuracy of worldview 2 image is 72% with 0.65 Kappa coefficients. Thus finally based on the result the airborne hyperspectral data is more suitable for detecting the impervious surface in more detail but still there are some limitations. Furthermore the worldview 2 image shows good potential for detection the impervious surface in detail.

equations. The issue covers a wide variety of problems for different classes of ordinary and partial differential equations, as well as dynamic equations on time scales. The topics discussed in the contributed papers are traditional for qualitative theory of differential equations. The issue contains papers on the global well-posedness of the viscous twocomponent Camassa-Holm system, local and global existence of solutions for a generalized Camassa-Holm equation, global solutions for the Cauchy problem of a Boussinesq-type equation, exact asymptotic expansion of singular solutions for the 2 1 -D Protter problem, on the regularity for variational evolution integrodifferential in equalities, right-hand side identification problem arising in biofluid mechanics, regularized solutions of optimal control problem in a hyperbolic system, generalized localization of Fourier inversion associated with an elliptic operator for distributions and Kamenev-type oscillation criteria for the secondorder nonlinear dynamic equations with damping on-time scales. Furthermore, classification

On continuous wavelet transforms of distributions

Ravshan Ashurov; Almaz Butaev

Wavelet analysis is a universal and promising tool with very rich mathematical content and great potential for applications in various scientific fields, in particular, in signal (image) processing and the theory of differential equations. On the other hand distributions are widely used in these fields. And to apply wavelet analysis in these areas it is important to define and investigate wavelet transforms of distributions. In this paper we introduce continuous wavelet transforms of distributions and study convergence properties of these transforms.

Further analysis on classifications of PDE(s) with variable coefficients

Adem Kilicman; Hassan Eltayeb; Ravshan Ashurov

In this study we consider further analysis on the classification problem of linear second order partial differential equations with non-constant coefficients. The equations are produced by using convolution with odd or even functions. It is shown that the patent of classification of new equations is similar to the classification of the original equations.

On Generalized Localization of Fourier Inversion Associated with an Elliptic Operator for Distributions

Ravshan Ashurov; Almaz Butaev; Biswajeet Pradhan

We study the behavior of Fourier integrals summed by the symbols of elliptic operators and pointwise convergence of Fourier inversion. We consider generalized localization principle which in classical spaces was investigated by Sjolin (1983), Carbery and Soria (1988, 1997) and Alimov (1993). Proceeding these studies, in this paper, we establish sharp conditions for generalized localization in the class of finitely supported distributions.

On some class of nonseparable continuous wavelet transforms

Almaz Butaev; Ravshan Ashurov

It is well-known that only a single condition (called the admissibility condition) is sufficient for L 2-convergence of multiple continuous wavelet transforms (MCWT). However known results suggest that to guarantee the pointwise convergence of MCWT for L p -functions wavelets should vanish quite rapidly at infinity. In this article, we consider the class of nonseparable multiple wavelets with square-symmetric Fourier transforms. For these wavelets ψ we prove that the admissibility condition and the condition ψ∈L 1(R n ) are sufficient for the convergence of corresponding MCWT almost everywhere.
