OBDD-based reliability evaluation for power communication networks

The current stability assessments for communication network mostly use the static model without effectively taking common cause failure (CCF) into consideration. This paper has proposed an assessment method based on CCF. This method has taken the advantage of the high computational efficiency of ordered binary decision diagram (OBDD). The method determines the order of variables with the help of breadth-first search (BFS)), and then it uses the factorization to construct the OBDD structure of the network. The reliability expression of the fault independent case is obtained through the OBDD structure. Finally, the network reliability expression can be obtained via implicit substitution. This method is easy to use and experiment shows that this method evaluates the reliability of network more objectively.

A mining algorithm for frequent closed pattern on data stream based on sub-structure compressed in prefix-tree

The knowledge embedded in data stream has the property of decaying with time, so people are more interested in the new data stream. This paper proposes a method for mining the frequent closed patterns in a sliding window to capture information timely and accurately when new data stream arrives. Data stream is divided into several basic windows. All possible frequent closed patterns are mined in each basic window and be stored in Closed Pattern-tree in the form of node compression to save space; As the data in sliding window updates, Closed Pattern-tree can be incrementally updated and the infrequent or unclosed patterns will be deleted from the tree. The experimental results of the simulation show that the method for mining the frequent closed patterns in a sliding window is efficient in time and space.

Research on management architecture for Home NodeB access network

The Home NodeB has been the hotspot in the mobile communication field. Comparing with Macro NodeB, Home NodeB has several features which bring the challenges for management. The paper proposes two alternative management architectures for the Home NodeB access network based on the different management requirements, and discusses the management elements in detail. These two kinds of architectures can be applied in different scenarios and network providers can choose any one according to the management requirements.
