Abstract The preimaginal stages including egg, mature larva and pupa of Pseudaspidapion botanicum Alonso-Zarazaga & Wang, 2011 were described and figured, diagnostic characters of larva and pupa were discussed, and corresponding biological information was supplied. The nomenclature of frontal setae in the larva compared with curculionid weevils, the absence of the hypopharyngeal bracon in the larva, and the metafemoral setae in the pupa were discussed. Common and different characters among the larvae of Pseudaspidapion botanicum, Aspidapion radiolus (Marsham, 1802) and Aspidapion aeneum (Fabricius, 1775) were also provided.

Abstract The genus Omophorus Schoenherr, 1835 is recorded for the first time from the Oriental Region and a new subgenus and species, Omophorus (Sinomophorus subgen. n.) rongshu sp. n. is described from Yunnan province (P.R. China). The new subgenus differs from the subgenus Omophorus by the longer antennal club, the bifid vestiture of the ventral parts, the elongate subtrapezoidal scutellum, the very small size of sclerotizations in the endophallus, the absence of styli in the ovipositor and the absence of the spiculum ventrale on the VIII female sternite, and from the subgenus Pangomophorus Voss, 1960 by the developed metatibial uncus and the lack of a subhumeral tubercle. A detailed description and figures are provided to allow interpretation of characters in ongoing phylogenetic analyses.

Abstract Pseudaspidapion botanicum sp. n. from China is described and figured. Its host plant is Grewia biloba G. Don var. parviflora (Bunge) Hand.-Mazz (Malvaceae: Grewioideae). The genus Harpapion Voss, 1966 is recorded as new for China and Vietnam and two comb. n. are proposed: Harpapion vietnamense (Korotyaev, 1985) (from Aspidapion) and Harpapion coelebs (Korotyaev, 1987) (from Pseudaspidapion). A key to the known species of the genus Pseudaspidapion from China is presented.

Abstract Harpapion safranum sp. n. and Harpapion borisi sp. n. are described and figured. Harpapion vietnamense (Korotyaev, 1987) is recorded as new for China. The genitalia andterminalia of H. considerandum, H. coelebs andH. vietnamense are redescribed and redrawn. The diagnostic characters of Harpapion are defined. A key to the known species of the genus Harpapion from China is provided. Affinities with the genus Flavopodapion Korotyaev, 1987 are discussed.

ABSTRACT The genus Cardipennis Korotyaev, 1980 (Ceutorhynchinae: Ceutorhynchini) was studied on the basis of detailed morphological observations of various materials. Different scale patterns within a species are found for all the three species. Based on the external morphology and genitalia characteristics, Cardipennis rubripes (Hustache, 1916), C. sulcithorax (Hustache, 1916), and C. shaowuensis (Voss, 1958) are redescribed, with new records of C. rubripes from mainland China. Cardipennis species are mainly associated with annual herbs of Cannabis and Humulus (Cannabaceae). A key to species, habitus photographs, and illustrations of important characters are provided for each species. Distribution maps of the three species are also given.

Following recent taxonomic study, Macrorhyncolus spinosus sp. nov. is described from China. Earlier, Macrorhyncolus included four species, M. crassiusculus, M. crassitarsis, M. littoralis and M. ventilaginis. A key is presented to all known species of Macrorhyncolus in the Palaearctic Region and China. Illustrations of diagnostic characters of the new species are provided. Macrorhyncolus spinosus is winged, has larger eyes, the rostrum is longer than wide and has a median furrow in the basal half, extending to the vertex, and striae 9 and 10 remain separate from base to apex.

Abstract An account is given of the twelve species of Leptomias Faust, 1886 occurring in the Sichuan Province of China, including the description of a new species, Leptomias verticalis Ren, Zhang & Song, sp. n. from Jiulong County, Southwest Sichuan. New locality data and remarks for the other eleven species, a key to and distribution map of all twelve Sichuan species are provided. Leptomias chenae Alonso-Zarazaga & Ren is transferred to Geotragus Schoenherr, 1845, where its valid name is G. granulatus (Chao, 1980), comb. n. in application of Art. 59.4. Structural details of Leptomias verticalis and Geotragus granulatus are illustrated.

Abstract n The first collection of Cimberis attelaboides (Fabricius, 1787) at Honghuaerji, Inner Mongolia, northeast China, represents a new country record for the family Nemonychidae, increasing the number of recorded Chinese weevil families from 10 to 11. Cimberis attelaboides is redescribed and illustrated. It is associated with Scots pine, Pinus sylvestris L., and has a very narrow distribution in northeastern China.

Abstract A new genus Evemphyron Alonso-Zarazaga, Lv & Wang, gen. n., belonging to Attelabidae Rhynchitinae, is described. Its single species, Evemphyron sinense Alonso-Zarazaga, Lv & Wang, sp. n., was reared from larvae found inside seed pods of the legume Callerya dielsiana (Fabaceae, Millettieae) in Sichuan Province (China). The species is figured and placed in the Deporaini because of the presence of minute labial palpi, the strongly crescentic apex of the postmentum, and the apodemes of male IX sternite and female VIII sternite curved sinistro-anterially near their cephalic end. It shows 3-segmented labial palpi and male sex patches on the procoxae, characters that suggest a basal position in the tribe.

Abstract The genus Caryopemon Jekel (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae) contains 9 species distributed only in Oriental and Afrotropical regions with 3 of these species from China and Myanmar. Caryopemon luteonotatus Pic and Caryopemon hieroglyphicus Jekel are recorded for the first time in China. Caryopemon giganteus Pic is recorded newly in Myanmar. Re-descriptions, illustrations, and a key for these 3 species are included. Mucuna interrupta Gagnepain and Mucuna macrocarpa Wallich (Fabales: Fabaceae) are reported as host plants of seed beetles for the first time.
