A Development of Active Monitoring System for Intelligent RFID Logistics Processing Environment

Ryumduck Oh; Jeyh Park

In this paper, we propose the active monitoring model for the workflow of RFID logistics management system, and besides the function of taking materials in and out, technology to handle each step for efficient logistics management is applied. For the inventory inspection, users take goods in and out in real time by attaching tags on each item and inspects the stored inventory rapidly with stock inspector and input the result automatically in real time. The user interface to display the optimized data process and status in real time environment has been constructed.

Nowadays, vehicles have become a very significant role in transport which remain a major problem in most cities around the world, especially in developing regions resulting in massive delays, turn traffic congestion, increased fuel wastage and monetary losses. There are many alternative systems, but one possible solution to this problem is parking system has become the sparking factors of the mentioned problems above. In this paper, we present various techniques as far as the smart parking system is mainly debated which are already implemented. When we are deepening into this parking issue, many contributors contributed a lot in monitoring smart parking system (SPS) and management of SPS with an asset of various gadgets and technologies including Bluetooth, Cameras, Image Processing, wireless sensors, ZigBeee accompanied by software explanations based on mobile application. Following this analysis will enhance researchers thought on SPS which will result in a real solution of the technique.

A practical coverage algorithm for intelligent robots with deadline situations

Jung Kyu Park; Heung Seok Jeon; Sam H. Noh; Jung Hwan Park; Ryumduck Oh

Coverage algorithm is one of the core technologies required for intelligent robots such as cleaning robots, harvesting robots, painting robots and lawn mowing robots. Although many smart coverage algorithms have been proposed, to the best of our knowledge, all of them make the same assumption that they have sufficient time to cover the entire target area. However, the time to completely cover the whole target area may not always be available. Therefore, in this paper, we propose another new coverage scheme, which we call the DmaxCoverage algorithm, that decides the coverage path by considering the deadline for coverage. This approach can be beneficial when the time for the coverage is not sufficient to cover the entire target area. Experimental results show that the DmaxCoverage algorithm outperforms previous algorithms for these situations.

CONDOCS: a concept-based document categorization system using concept-probability vector with thesaurus

Traditional approaches in document categorization use the term-based classification techniques to classify the documents. The techniques, for enormous terms, are not effective to the applications that need speedy response or not much space. This paper presents an effective concept-based document categorization system, which can efficiently classify Korean documents through the thesaurus tool. The thesaurus tool is the information extractor that acquires the meanings of document terms from the thesaurus. It supports effective document categorization with the acquired meanings. The system uses the concept-probability vector to represent the meanings of the terms. Because the category of the document depends on the meanings than the terms, even though the size of the vector is small, the system can classify the document without degradation of the performance. The system uses the small concept-probability vector so that it can save the time and space for document categorization. The experimental results suggest that the presented system with the thesaurus tool can effectively classify the documents. The results show that even though the system uses the contracted vector for document categorization, the performance of the system is not degraded.
