The authors report a series of 137 cases of imported malaria. The main features are emphasized, amongst which : epidemiological and clinical changes induced by chloroquine resistant strains, the interest of some biological parameters (lymphopenia, hypocholesterolemia, elevation of C-reactive protein), the evolution of therapy.

The authors report a case of lymphoma developing in a patient with rheumatoid arthritis taking low dose weekly methotrexate. Five such cases have been recently reported in literature. A very low CD4 count has been observed in our case. The role of lymphopenia and the importance of looking after it should be more closely defined.

A case of parvovirus B19 related aplastic anaemia is reported. It reveals an occult spherocytosis, which has been rarely reported in an over-thirty-year-old adult in literature. Diagnosis of the underlying haematologic disorder can be made difficult by both the discretion of symptoms of haemolysis and the necessity of emergency blood transfusion.

We report 4 patients with coeliac disease in whom arthritis have preceded the diagnosis for 6 months to 20 years. Arthritis appears to be a rare manifestation of coeliac disease. The relationship between these diseases is discussed, and possible improvement of the rhumatism by gluten-free diet is emphasized.

The authors describe a case of refractory cutaneous sarcoidosis in which weekly low-dose methotrexate seemed to be the only efficient non steroid therapy. Hepatotoxicity may limit this possibility, especially in this case where there is a previous hepatic involvement by sarcoidosis itself.

Abstract The authors report a case of asbestosis — related pericardits. Because of its initial presentation, a treatment by four tuberculosis drugs and corticosteroids is prescribed. The persistence of a pericardial thickening and of a pleural effusion occurring after 6 months of treatment, added to epidemiologic and biological arguments, lead to attribute these events to asbestosis.
