interactions at the Tevatron and LHC energies is considered within the semihard QCD approach. The dependence of the total and differential cross sections for the production of b quarks and B mesons (and of muons originating from the subsequent semileptonic decay B → μνμX) on various samples of unintegrated gluon distributions is studied. The results obtained by calculating azimuthal correlations between the transverse momenta of final particles are presented. The theoretical results are compared with the latest experimental data obtained by the D0 and CDF Collaborations at the Tevatron.

Using the unity bond index–quadratic exponential potential (UBI–QEP) formalism and the Monte Carlo method, functions are obtained that describe the dependence of the binding energies of atomic adsorbates on the single crystal surface coverage for the models of random adsorption, models with a site choice and site preference, models with neighbor exclusion, and models with diffusion assistance.

In the framework of kf-factorization approach, inclusive production of J/ψ mesons at HERA is considered. The differential cross sections and spin-density matrix elements are calculated. Theoretical predictions are compared with recent H1 experimental data.

The production of doubly heavy baryons in hadron-hadron collisions is considered. A method is proposed for decomposing the respective differential cross section into parts associated with contributions of various color-flux configurations.

The method of orthogonal amplitudes is generalized to the case of several identical fermions, and this generalization is used to calculate cross sections for Ωscc-baryon production in e+e− annihilation at the Z-boson pole.
