Prompt photon photoproduction at HERA in the kT -factorization approach

A. V. Lipatov; N. P. Zotov

We present calculations of the prompt photon photoproduction at HERA collider in the k{sub T}-factorization approach. Both direct and resolved contributions are taken into account. The conservative error analysis is performed. The unintegrated parton densities in a proton and in a photon are determined using the Kimber-Martin-Ryskin prescription. We investigate both inclusive and associated with jet prompt photon photoproduction rates. In particular, we study the angular correlations between produced photon and hadronic jet in the transverse momentum plane which can provide a unique information about noncollinear evolution dynamics. We compare our theoretical predictions with recent experimental data taken by the H1 and ZEUS collaborations.

Beauty photoproduction at HERA: k T -factorization versus experimental data

A. V. Lipatov; N. P. Zotov

We calculate the cross section of charm photoproduction at HERA collider in the framework of the kT-factorization QCD approach. Our analysis cover the inclusive charm production as well as charm and associated jet production processes. Both photon-gluon and gluon-gluon fusion mechanisms are taken into account. The unintegrated gluon densities in a proton and in a photon obtained from the full CCFM, from unified BFKL-DGLAP evolution equations as well as from the Kimber-Martin-Ryskin prescription are used. Our theoretical results are compared with the recent experimental data taken by the H1 and ZEUS collaborations at HERA. Special attention is put on the specific angular correlations which can provide unique information about non-collinear gluon evolution dynamics.

Transition between soft physics at LHC and low-x physics at HERA

A. Grinyuk; A. V. Lipatov; G. I. Lykasov; N. P. Zotov

We find out the connection between the unintegrated gluon distribution at low intrinsic transverse momenta and the inclusive spectrum of the hadrons produced in pp collision at LHC energies in the mid-rapidity region and low hadron transverse momenta. The parameters of this distribution are found from the best description of the LHC data. Its application to the analysis of ep deep inelastic scattering allows us to obtain the results which describe reasonably well the H1 and ZEUS data on the structure functions at low x. A connection between the soft processes at LHC and small x physics at HERA has been found.

LHC soft physics and transverse momentum dependent gluon density at low x

A. V. Lipatov; G. I. Lykasov; N. P. Zotov

We study the unintegrated, or transverse momentum dependent (TMD) gluon distribution obtained from the best description of the LHC data on the inclusive spectra of hadrons produced in the mid-rapidity region and at low transverse momenta at the starting scale Q 2 = 1 GeV 2 . To extend this gluon density to higher Q 2 we apply the Catani-Ciafoloni-Fiorani-Marchesini (CCFM) evolution equation. The influence of the initial (starting) non-perturbative gluon distribution is studied. The application of the obtained gluon density to the analysis of the deep inelastic ep scattering allows us to get the results which describe reasonably well the H1 and ZEUS data on the longitudinal proton structure function FL(x,Q 2 ). So, the connection between the soft processes at the LHC and small x physics at HERA has been confirmed and extended to a wide kinematical region.

Associated production of electroweak bosons and heavy mesons at LHCb and the prospects to observe double parton interactions

S. P. Baranov; N. P. Zotov; Alexander Snigirev; M. A. Malyshev; A. V. Lipatov

The production of weak gauge bosons in association with heavy flavored mesons at the LHCb conditions is considered, and a detailed study of the different contributing processes is presented including single and double parton scattering (DPS) mechanisms. We find that the usual DPS factorization formula needs to be corrected for the limited partonic phase space, and that including the relevant corrections reduces discrepancies in the associated
