Nadjib Mesbahi; Okba Kazar; Saber Benharzallah; Merouane Zoubeidi; Samir Bourekkache

Today the enterprise resource planning ERP became a tool that enables uniform and consistent management of information system IS of the company with a large single database. In addition, Data Mining is a technology whose purpose is to promote information and knowledge extraction from a large database. In this paper, an agent-based multi-layered approach for data mining based k-Means through the ERP to extract hidden knowledge in the ERP database is proposed. To achieve this, the authors call the paradigm of multi-agent system to distribute the complexity of several autonomous entities called agents, whose goal is to group records or observations on similar objects classes using the k-means technique that is dedicated the task of clustering. This will help business decision-makers to take good decisions and provide a very good response time by the use of multi-agent system. To implement the proposed architecture, it is more convenient to use the JADE platform while providing a complete set of services and agents comply with the specifications FIPA.

An Agent-Based Modeling for an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)

Nadjib Mesbahi; Okba Kazar; Merouane Zoubeidi; Saber Benharzallah

Today the enterprise resource planning (ERP) became the cornerstone of information systems companies. This tool allows a uniform and consistent management information system of the company, especially in the management of the production chain to the sale of a product. In addition, the multi-Agents system (MAS) is a field of very active research. It has become a new modeling approach to solve complex problems. It is a branch that is interested in the collective behaviors resulting from the interactions of several autonomous and flexible entities called agents. The work we propose in this article aims to implement an agent modeling of the ERP thanks to techniques proposed by the MAS. In this article, the JADE platform based on JAVA is the most appropriate, since it is well adapted with the cognitive agents and at the same time, it provides a complete set of services and agents conform to the FIPA specifications.

FRABAC: a new hybrid access control model for the heterogeneous multi-domain systems

Hasiba Ben Attia; Laid Kahloul; Saber Benharzallah

In this paper, a new hybrid, flexible, scalable and fine-grained model, fine-grained role-attribute access control (FRABAC) is proposed. FRABAC combines the benefits of the two most popular basic models: role-based access control (RBAC) and attribute-based access control (ABAC). The new proposed model overcomes the shortcomings of both models RBAC and ABAC known as combinatorial explosion in rules and roles when the security policy becomes complicated. Besides avoiding the combinatorial explosion, the new proposed model provides a role permission agreement (APA) to handle inter organisational access decision in collaborative cloud services cases. The proposed model is applied to define the security policies in realistic case studies and results are compared to previous existing models. On the other hand, the consistency and the correctness of the built policies are analysed through a formal modelling/analysis approach. This formal approach uses hierarchical coloured Petri nets (HCPNs) to model the policy and the CPN-tools to analyse the generated models.

Service discovery for the Internet of Things: Comparison study of the approaches

Meriem Aziez; Saber Benharzallah; Hammadi Bennoui

The Internet of Things (IoT) has gained a significant attention in the last years. It covers multiple domains and applications such as smart home, smart healthcare, IT transportation…etc. The highly dynamic nature of the IoT environment brings to the service discovery new challenges and requirements. As a result, discovering the desirable services has become very challenging. In this paper, we aim to address the IoT service discovery problem and investigate the existing solutions to tackle this problem in many aspects, therefore we present a new and full comparative study of the most representative (or outstanding) service discovery approaches in the literature over four perspectives: (1) the IoT service description model, (2) the mechanism of IoT service discovery, (3) the adopted architecture and (4) the context awareness. After each of these perspectives, we discuss the existing solutions as well as the main challenges that face the service discovery issue in the IoT domain. Besides, we adopt a classification of the IoT service discovery approaches based on their mechanism of discovery, and we propose a set of requirements that need to be considered when defining an IoT service in the IoT domain.

A new hybrid access control model for multi-domain systems

Ben Attia Hasiba; Laid Kahloul; Saber Benharzallah

Access control is an important issue in multi-domain information systems. A variety of access control models have been developed to address different aspects of security problems in such systems. Currently, the two most popular models are role-based access control (RBAC) and Attribute-based access control (ABAC). Providing a hybrid model which considers both the “role” concept and the “attributes” has become an important research topic. In this paper, we propose a new access control model based principally on roles, attributes, access modes and the type of resources. This model combines the advantages of the two models RBAC and ABAC and overcomes their limitations.

Automatic code generation is an important step in development of software especially for a particular domain application such as embedded system. WSN is a wireless network of a group of sensor nodes, connected with AdHoc method. The formal models is adopted in the embedded application to allow to the developer the design of their system at an abstract level, and guarantee to them an assure implementation. A lot of work proposed an approach for modelling and verifying WSN protocols based on formal models for the wireless sensor network [3, 17]. In this paper, we present an approach for automatically generate WSN implementations from Timed Automata models. The proposed approach generates a set of operations that are presented in the abstract model, which define each functionality provided by a the WSN application. To demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed approach, it will be applied to automatically generate the code for an example of WSNs application.

Nadjib Mesbahi; Okba Kazar; Saber Benharzallah; Merouane Zoubeidi

In this paper, we propose a cooperative multi-agent approach for knowledge discovery from the enterprise resource planning to extract the useful knowledge, hidden in enterprise resource planning database. To achieve this, we call the paradigm of multi-agent system to enhance the knowledge discovery process. It distributes the complexity of this process on several autonomous entities called agents, who will cooperate and collaborate to achieve the reduction in execution time due to the extraction of knowledge from a large ERP database. This will help business decision-makers to take good decisions and provide a very good execution time by the use of multi-agent system. To implement the proposed architecture, it is more convenient to use the JADE platform while providing a complete set of services and agents comply with the specifications FIPA.
